Poor Sellers that nobody knows about because it is not possible to leave feedback on canceled orders

lets make a deal – 1 - i do not mind to have a buyer rating

2- when you are going to store you looking at the customers rating?

3- with buyers it is pretty simple … they know what they want and the main part is of the seller .

even when the buyer not quite sure of what he want , I am as a seller , wouldn’t take the job until I perfectly understand what is the need of the buyer … without understanding it I won’t be able to provide a good result.

I am as a seller , wouldn’t take the job until I perfectly understand what is the need of the buyer

This isn’t quite possible always, because buyers are able to directly book gigs without talking to the seller, and there are buyers who don’t read gig descriptions, book a gig and want the seller to do something they don’t offer at all. Think walking into a bakery, placing your car key on the counter and walking out with a ‘repair my car’ over your shoulder. 😉 Fiverr doesn’t give sellers the option to decline or accept orders on their standard gigs in favour of the ‘browse, order, done’ motto.

But that just as an aside, doesn’t have relevance for your case I assume, which to me looks like bad seller behaviour (though usually we only get to hear one side on the forum, and you’ll understand why it’s problematic to say much then). If the seller promised you to deliver in 3 days and actively made you think it was some fiverr standard that kind of forces him to put 14 days, that doesn’t make that seller look good at all, and gives fiverr and all other sellers a bad name. I’d open a ticket with Customer Support. They can look into the conversations you had and see if it might have been some misunderstanding or not.

@miiila You are correct in all points, and I agree that if you choose, for example for a logo design or webpage creation a seller based only on standard gig it can be a bit problematic because you do not know if you and the seller are “match” in points of view and approach to the final result. I n my case that was not a standard gig … i had a previous discussion with sellers and choose one based of they input from those preliminary conversations and only after we agreed on all points the seller sent me custom order.

I opened this topic mainly because I thought here the community will be able to share also the bad sellers experience , only because there is no any way to notify the community with standard fiverr options.

These topics, as long as nobody goes against the forum rules by putting names and as long as everyone discusses in a civil manner, surely bring more understanding for ‘both sides’ and can be valuable information for both buyers and sellers on how to react or to not react if certain situations arise. 🙂 It’s good to hear about issues from buyers’ perspective especially and to learn of their take on some matters, since the majority of posts are from sellers for obvious reasons.

Hope your next fiverr experiences will be all positive either way!
