Yes I am a level 2 seller, and seriously if we have to do our own marketing should fiverr take less of a proportion of our sales income? I cant afford to pay someone to do my marketing when there are 0 sales I too used to have at least 5 sales in the morning I dont know anything about marketing thats why I joined a site that I thought did all that

He says "It’s not “an issue”. This is normal. There are ups and downs in any business. Sometimes you have many sales, other times you have few. This is completely normal. You’ve been around on Fiverr long enough to know this.

If sales are down, work to bring them back up through marketing and other SEO tasks."

what does he mean SEO tasks? I have no idea what this is I am not a marketeer, Im worried about fiverr I think they might be in some kind of financial trouble because they now want us to pay for the marketing or use manpower time to do the marketing and that in addition the time it takes to deliver the actual service provided whatever it is you provide could mean you are virtually offering your services for free

Fiverr does not receive any money from you unless you make a sale. As long as your gigs are hosted on Fiverr, they are appropriately entitled to retain a percentage of your sale price. Thus, if you don’t make any sales, you don’t lose anything to Fiverr. If you do make sales, Fiverr gave you that sale, so that percentage of your sale is rightly theirs to retain.

SEO is “search engine optimization”. This pertains to crafting your gig content to be more appealing to search engines like Google. If you wish to learn more about SEO and how it works, do a Google search; you’ll find plenty of information on the topic, and how to put it into practice.

As far as your comment about Fiverr being in financial trouble, I doubt this to be the case. This is a slow time of year in terms of freelance work because people and businesses are looking toward Christmas, and the end of the year. Granted, sales levels are different for different gig categories, however, for the most part, you’ll likely see an increase in sales again after the start of the new year.

As far as your comment about Fiverr wanting you to “pay for the marketing or use manpower time to do marketing”, this is true of any business. And you gigs ARE a business. Don’t expect Fiverr to make your gigs successful. You should always be marketing and promoting your gigs elsewhere online, offline, or wherever your target audience is located.

Fiverr merely hosts your gig/service pages. You are still responsible for building your own success.

The following is from a thread similar to this:

What's going at Fiverr last 15 days?

Hello all , hope you are doing well . But I cant doing good here. Last 15 days I didnt get enough response/orders . I don't understand whats going on . >> Is it happening for USA Election? >>What do you think friends ? >>Are you getting enough...

Reading time: 1 mins ? Likes: 2 ❤

Yes, in this gig economy, there won’t be any sort of constancy, but the issue currently is NOT this.

Fiverr is updating algorithms for search parameters, gig description metadata etc. etc.
Also, Fiver is busy with updating marketing strategy worldwide, so the categories across the platform is on a transverse wave pattern.

There are other issues as well, which I shall not discuss here since it is the matter of Fiverr’s operations.

Please do not ask me how I know all this.

Please stop repeating its how fr33lance business is, you have to understand, when we make money, Fiverr makes money, when Fiverr makes money, their shareholders and investors make money. So justifying the lapse in sales by saying there’s up and down is business like this is utter crap.

There will be variance, but not across the board like this.
Every missed sale opportunity is a failed opportunity to make money for Fiverr. And I do not think Fiverr is sitting on its digital arse and doing nothing about it.
A company wants a steady constant cash flow market strategy, otherwise it will go out of business. It also needs to constantly update its business model, else it will again wither and die.

So its kind of sad that why this common sense is not available for everyone?

Cheers

What can I say…I lowered my price to extremely low just to get some portofolio work. Then I noticed that there are people out there doing responsive websites for 5$ lol…

Fiverr gives visibility to those who are already receiving lots of orders. You may say "you have to share it through your social media, market your gigs, etc. But then, why would I need fiverr? I could do this and simply make transactions outside of fiverr.

Has been slow. Vibing American holidays and people saving for Black Friday sales everywhere. Felt this in August/September before school started as well. Psych biz largely women.

Then “do this” elsewhere. Don’t complain because you need to do hard work to get noticed. Every successful seller had to start at the bottom, just like you. They have proven that with hard work, success is possible.

No hard work, no success. That’s how this thing called “business” works.

Hello! I think if you can be flexible on prices it would go a long way to improving orders. I get that you can’t do volumes of work for peanuts, but sometimes you’ve got to pipe a little lower than before on prices.

Come on, guys. You don’t receive orders, you EARN them.

Don’t just sit back and expect people to come flocking to your services. You need to do hard work, you need to market, promote, optimize, enhance, research, experiment, etc. Your gigs are your business, and ALL businesses require daily work to make them successful.

So get out there and work. Build your own success. Don’t expect someone to give it to you just because you have a gig sitting there. Don’t expect to “receive” orders, “earn” them. Work hard every day, and be successful. Sit back and expect everyone else to do the work for you… and you will fail. Those are your options.

There is NO issue if anyone not receiving orders and more orders like before also.

Every seller need to promote gigs and do SEO things to make ranking higher on your gig, All success depends on you, how many effort you can apply for promoting gigs.

so in few words, please promote gigs in various social media platforms and similar platform and make seo optimized your gigs.

please you need to maintain patience… Hope you get success soon. Thanks 🙂
