Anyone find out the source file is not source file?

recently I use few different graphic designer, I require All with The source file is an editable layered PSD file at the end of final work. But 3 of the design send me .PSD file, I use cs6 photoshop open the file only one layer. Doesn’t matter what I trying to tell them is not the source file that editable layered PSD.

Just me have the same problem or conversation problem?

I am currently having that problem. Just found that my source file is not really a source file as the layers have been flattened and cant edit individual elements any longer. Now trying to get him to do it correctly, sends me again a single layered 2D version of my 3D logo that isnt even the same in any aspect and has only 1 layer as well. hahaha. SO IRRITATED. Waited a week just to get this even worse version. Is there any way to get this resolved? Can customer service make this right? I paid for the source file, I want an actual source file. and just saw my PDF vector which I need for printing isnt the right version, its on a multicolor background not white so its useless. What do I do if I can’t get him to cooperate?? Help 😦

I have this problem, learn the lesson and I think you can ask money back or put a very low rate and tell other people on this seller.

This may be intentional or maybe a mistake. Sometimes you just accidently save it like that, have happened to me before luckily was just personal projects.

Every class I’ve had has told me to flatten all the time. I never do that. As @adityasharma3d said, it may be on purpose or a mistake, but there’s no way to tell for sure.

Usually when people speak of flattening they’re referring to Photoshop (or a like program), but vector work is normally done in Illustrator (or similar). What’s the file extension of your flattened source file?

Also, does the source file you received have the multicolored background in it? If not, you may be able to get a printable file out of it.
