Fiverr v2.0 - Why has the emphasis on ratings been reduced?

I don’t see the point of going from numerical ratings to stars. That just evens out the playing field between those with 100% ratings and those with 90%+ for example, since customers can’t see the actual review # until they enter the gig. I don’t see the logic behind this, if anything those with top rating should be given the best exposure possible.
