Is that fair to take 20% commission on Tip of Buyers

Or, how about you play by the rules and help keep the system that feeds you in business. Seriously, do you think you can get the infrastructure, promotion and the ability to accept every major credit card on the planet for less than 20% elsewhere. What’s wrong with keeping fiverr healthy? It feeds us. Or is it just me?

I agree with you and @steveeyes in theory. I have to agree, though, if there is any risk the easiest solution is to put commission on everything.

I was one of the early opponents to tip commissions, but after talking with some who really do get $1K+ orders from long, long time regulars I decided to concede the point. I’d rather have 80% tips than none. 🙂

Taking a commission on the GIG is fine. we all agree to that. otherwise we wouldn’t be here selling our skills. BUT taking a commission on tips is very unfair to me. its like we do all the hard work to satisfy the client and then fiverr takes commission on tips. we never ask for tips from the client. its their wish. please dont earn from our hard earn money fiverr. 💔

Fiverr earns from every completed project from millions of sales. but we dont earn millions from our few projects. so why not be greed on the seller TIPS? 💔

I can appreciate the different opinions on this thread but we all must remember that without Fiverr, we would not have the opportunity to connect with all of these awesome buyers. I understand that it might seem like a bit much but at the same time, this platform has helped me to provide for my family and I am extremely grateful for that.

Fiverr pays on time and allows me the platform to utilize my skills to make money and that is the most important part to me!

This topic was started over three years ago. Please don’t resurrect dead topics. You can easily start a new topic on this – if you feel it needs to be discussed yet again. For most of us on this forum, however, this topic about 20% of commissions being kept by Fiverr has been talked about, over, and over, and over in the past. You will find many past topics that provide insight. Most of us veteran forum sellers, however, aren’t likely to want to talk about this again, for the 1,000th time.

This is how Fiverr is. It is not likely to change.

Thank you for the reply. i didn’t want to start a new topic just for my satisfaction. since it is already has been discussed on the forum i thought to add my views here.

in my opinion nothing is forever everything can be changed over time. maybe this is your 1000th time on this topic but for me its the first time. therefore i would like to hear more new (2019) feedbacks than reading something from 2016. if i don’t voice my self here where can i?

if that is how fiverr is according to you i would like to add that fiverr can change its commission on tips from 20% to 10%.

thank you and looking forward to hear more from the admins/moderators and other sellers too.
