I like to debate on some things too. Politics isn’t one because I’ve seen best friends and family members say or do awful things over heated political exchanges. Debates turn into word wars.

I’ve also heard my own friends say things that seemed harsh in areas that directly affect me if a vote goes “bad” for me. Maybe I’d rather stick to common ground with some people unless it’s someone who is good at calm unheated debate. There are other controversies that haven’t been that volatile in my online and offline circles, so I guess I lean to those! 🙂

I haven’t paid attention to politics since I stopped working for a senator but this is so otherworldly now in U.S. politics it is riveting. I don’t want to debate or take sides but simply to point out that we have something happening that is far beyond anything previously imaginable.
