How can I as a buyer release funds early to seller for LONG gig?

I want my seller to provide a custom gig of 20 creations for a reduced price and he has agreed. I do not think it is fair that he has to wait for all his money until the end of the gig. I do, however, need ALL 20 for it to be of any value to me so I want to have the custom gig in which I rate him at the end, but I want to be able to pay him for each of the 20 elements as they arrive or pay him lump sums as we go along. Is there any way to do this?

I suggest just waiting until he delivers everything that is part of the order and then he will be paid as sellers usually are. It is much to your advantage to let him wait for the payment since you said you need all 20 to be of value to you.

If I was you, I would discuss the job at hand with the seller and flesh out the details. Then, have the seller create a custom offer for the full amount that details EXACTLY what they will do, what you will get and the time frame.

(if my advice is way off slap me)

If you aren’t confident enough to pay the full amount to the seller, then maybe you need to find someone else?

Good luck, and happy fiverring!

It’s very simple, really. This is overcomplicating everything. One test project–in this case, one element. If that’s good, order the whole lot in a custom order to be completed at by a certain date, or batch orders of 3 elements until completion. Or whatever.

Half of this question is stressing the importance of having everything while the other half is inventing a convoluted system that helps noone.
