Can I use the image (jpg) thumbnail instead of video thumbnail?

I’m very new here. Can I use my custom made thumbnail images instead of my video ones? I feel that my video preview image is not so effective to use as an ad of my gig.

I know this is an old post but just stumbled upon it. In case you haven’t received an answer, you can customize your video thumbnail. Edit your gig, go to the gallery section. When you place your cursor on the video thumbnail, you will see a choice to delete or edit your video - select edit. This will open a window where you can preview your video and pause it where you would like the thumbnail for your video. Once you have the picture you want from your video, select ‘set preview’ and wait for it to say done, then hit save. Then save your gig. It will take about 24 hours for the thumbnail to update.
