Cannot Respond to Contact?

I received a message from someone who seemed interested in hiring me. I got the notification via email and immediately clicked “View and Reply.” When I did, it said, “Alert! ________ will no longer be able to contact you.” I do not have an option to reply to them and have no idea why it was flagged, but I figured since it was flagged that it was probably a scammer or something. So I haven’t bothered with it. However, when I went to check my inbox again to see if anyone else had messaged me, I noticed that the other person’s message had a red clock on it. So I scrolled over it, and it says that I have to respond to them within 9 hours, or else I take a hit to my response rate. I don’t want to look like I don’t care or respond to clients, but there is no option to respond. There is an Unspam Request option, which I have been tempted to click; but if this is actually a scammer, I don’t want to get sucked into a job for nothing. I’ve been through enough of that for one lifetime. So I’m not sure what to do here. Has anyone else had something like this happen?

I did click Unspam Request before time ran out AND responded to the person (as well as responded quickly to another person), yet now my response rate has gone from 100% to 0%. What is the deal with that? Has anyone else had problems like this before?
