Confused? impossible? difficult? hahaha just a minut read it

Recommended Posts

What is this post and how is it a Tip for Buyers? I did read it, but it makes very little sense.

It appears that this is a bit of fun in a thread as the start of it is so odd. I’m moving it to Conversations, but for anyone even more confused, it was posted in Tips for Buyers and doesn’t seem to fit well there.

I think this means that yes, I can be an aeroplane if I really want to be.

Thank God. For all these years I’ve been blindsided by a society which says it’s simply not possible to be a passenger jet just because I wasn’t born with wings or an aluminium fuselage.

Now, though, I know better, all I have to be is really determined to be the aeroplane I have always envisioned myself as. In this case, pardon me while I soar from the balcony for a few moments.

Thank you, OP. If you let me know where you are I might fly by later to say thanks.

To the OP - don’t take the move to be an insult. The sentiments you tried to express are interesting, but it didn’t lend well to a normal tips thread.

Since @cyaxrex has truly helped me understand the meaning, I am going to become a horse. I already eat horse food - I love wheat and oats and green stuff. I like apples and carrots too. Horses are beautiful but allowed to eat until they weigh a thousand pounds! They are athletic and have manes and tails that look great in braids. I will remain female and become a mare, since I don’t want to have anything cut off. I’m going to be a magnificent horse. @cyaxrex, please waggle your wings but fly quietly over my field! @emmaki, I will not let the hill climb me, I will gallop up the hill with might! 😉

I understand what the OP means/is saying easily. English is not my first language and I tried hard to learn it to get to this level (which is still not 100% perfect). During my time learning, no native English speakers tried to discourage me even when I made mistakes or not saying things so clearly, and that had made me felt more motivated to learn. On the other hand, I have had some friends who don´t speak my native language and they try to learn and use it. I learned to understand them. Also, as I was travelling to another countries I also learned to understand what people said with their limited English skills.

I vaguely understood the original idea, but did not see it as a fit for the category it was posted in. It appears to me to be a kind of general tip for life. Personally, I hope that the OP wasn’t offended that it was moved or that there was some teasing about who or what to become, and I mentioned that.

I think it is great that people try to discuss all sorts of things and offer opinions no matter what language they speak or how good they are at speaking it. There are a lot of things dropped into “tips” categories because they are at the top, though, when they are really a match for another category. I’d still like to be a horse, too! 😉

Understood. I was just telling my experience. IMO your action to move his threat to the most suitable category is NOT offensive. If OP doesn´t come back to this thread I suppose it´s not because he got offended, maybe he just cannot find his thread and forgotten 🙂
