well said.
there are so many buyers on fiverr who think they are immune to negative ratings and thus can treat sellers in the worst way and even threaten sellers by not releasing the payment after seller has done the job.

I think misscrystal meant it the other way around - the customer has to rate a seller as “good” even if if they were bad. And if the buyer got a bad experience, he has to suck it up so to not get a bad review?!
I’m having such an experience right now - I’m a good buyer, but the seller did a sh*t job, with ZERO communication on their behalf, and I gave a review accordingly.
So the first thing they did, as many here do in order to not be badly reviewed, was to refund (it’s only $5 right? no biggy). That adds insult to injury - a buyer pays in good faith, and when the seller doesn’t deliver and the client calls them up on it, refunding is like saying “here’s your money back, now remove what you wrote”.
Very bad attitude!
Since I gave the review I now have one or two emails waiting for me every morning asking me to remove it! Zero integrity too.
(but communication galore!)

Most people are not stupid and know the value of work. I am super happy to pay $100 for a nice logo, but it takes time to find the right designer, so you start with paying $5-$10 basics to several people until you find the right one for you and then you pay them for the whole package or extras or whatever. But when a client is honest and gives a seller a 4.5 rating (which to be fair isn’t bad!) and the seller HARASSES them to change it (and I mean borderline online bullying), it says something about them and I’m afraid that a buyer rating would lead to vendetta.
I am an online freelancer myself and certainly understand the problem of clients who can never be made happy. But Fiverr is a marketplace and sellers are FAR from lemmings here.

That’s true. But many don’t reply unless you buy the gig, or reply and then change their attitude once you paid. It’s not so straightforward for buyers here, I must admit… I used to have a straightforward experience on Fiverr a couple of years ago, with an old account, now I’m struggling to get good service as a buyer.

Buyer rating is a very good feature. After all, it should be a two-way street and I think this for of rating will also help buyers to maintain a good relationship with sellers.

because some new people was scammed,
like asking to accept and review first due to the late delivery or a new buyer who get delivered a source file which he doesnt order, once you choose other than revision , which is buy the source, or even complete the order for the draft that you cant even see yet

even if the CS help them to get a refund, they will only get that fiverr credit in the return which the buyer might have enough of wasting time and the way to use fiverr credit still kind of complicated

I see at the top of the messages in my inbox the seller ranking and the buyer ranking of the person I communicating with. They have a crown if they are top rated buyers. I never knew I’m in a test group though.

i have deliver one of my gig successfully, but the seller can’t be able (or having knowledge) about giving review. How he can gave it to me? any idea
