I still think this is much ado about nothing to be honest. I had an inquiry yesterday from a guy who asked for a price of translation. When I sent the price he then informed me that the material to be translated was a short piece of gay erotica and asked if that would be a problem. I told him that it wasn’t and that my only concerns would be that I may struggle with it if it contained a lot of slang etc which would not be obvious to a non native speaker of the language and that I was not familiar with material like that.
I appreciated him giving me the option to refuse it and he appreciated my honesty about the translation and being willing to take it on.
That’s how tolerance works, both sides considering the other party and allowing them to make their own decision…

Yeah, I have generally found that most people who want erotica or anything with a s****l content written, whether gay or straight are the nicest clients possible.
