jesdj88
Found a seller offering videos intros for $5. I ordered one for me and another on behalf of a client. At the time of the deal The seller offered 4 more intros of my choice at a later date for $10. His work was good so I accepted on both orders. I contacted him less then a week after the order was completed and he said he would get right on it as soon as he got home. I never heard from him again. I tried more than once. He did not respond. Fiverr was contacted but they did not respond. I would like to assume they didn’t get the message but I recall the message going through. I can no longer contact this seller directly anymore. I don’t know if he is selling anymore either but my mail box says he logged in 15 days ago (This incident started in February). Moral of the story is…there are no repercussions to a seller for products promised after the initial sale. you cannot leave feedback and eventually you will not be able to communicate with a somewhat anonymous seller on the other end of the deal. Buyer beware. The bad news is I lost $20. The good news is I only lost $20. The Bottom line is I learned as lesson I didn’t think I needed to learn. jesdj88
I am going to repost this under tips for Buyers. Sorry…I labeled it wrong.

maestromaster
Reply to @vedmak: …I don’t know…I’m counting on that $4. Maybe I should sell funeral tickets…than I’d care.…By the way, your name is fantastic, vedmak, a Slovak, male witch with positive qualities (wiki). VERY clever name. Good thinking. maestromaster
Great name either way, including the alliteration. If you wrote a book, I’d swear it was a pen name.Viktor Vedmak slicker than Denmark, quicker than a flick of a pen mark.lol. Too much fun. Unless, of course, you pronounce it ‘mack’ than the whole rhyme is off but ‘mach’ is where the rhyme is at.
maestromaster
So the rhyme works than. 🙂 Mack would rhyme with smack or quack and mach would rhyme with stock or mock, and the latter is most similiar to how I would pronounce your name.
motionkey
It is a shame as to what’s happened, If you are still looking for a reliable service relating to video, some of my gig’s may be of interest. I also have the reviews to back them up. I wont be going anywhere, loving my time on fiverr! Have met some really nice people thus far!

jesdj88
I agree with the consensus here everyone. I am not Angry/Mad at Fiverr per se’. I contacted Fiverr back in maybe March but they didn’t respond and the seller didn’t have any other posts. That’s the only part that gets to me. So I figured I would let it go.I posted what I did because I was under the impression the guy ran off completely and I lost my money. I thought this info could have been helpful. As far as I am concerned the system could be slightly tweaked to solve this problem…if not…then it doesn’t hurt to warn people.I almost didn’t write anything at all but when I checked in a few days ago I saw the guy did in fact check in within the last couple weeks. So he is still around. I wish I could try contacting him again but I cannot. If he offers services again…heck I might pay $5 to tell him I am still out here and not happy. juanito89
More than sure that seller ran for some easy money on fiverr. It’s bad when this happens. Another bad thing is that you reported this event and fiverr admins didn`t do anything for you… Hmm
jesdj88
I agree. But I can’t judge a company by one seller’s actions. Just heed my warning. 🙂
ithinkvisual
May I suggest contacting CS again, don’t start a new ticket, just add a comment to your existing ticket for that order. You’ll be surprised how quick you’ll get your refund. I have a buyer who didn’t know what he wants but I delivered the work anyway (in March!) As expected, he asked for a different design. I obliged without making a fuss (and this is the basic $5 gig, no upsell). Long story short, he kept stalling, changed his mind more than a few times, and the language barrier is making things worse. Our last conversation was in the first week of April where he was supposed to send me the copy (text) for the (yet another new idea) graphics. Never heard from him since. That means we weren’t in contact for a month and a half. Two days ago, he left me a negative feedback and he was able to contact CS for a refund, and they did, even if a delivery was made in good faith and to the specs of the buyer. You should be able to, as well, being that the lapsed time is similar to yours. Since you said you can’t get in contact with your seller anymore, the next best thing is to contact Fiverr and get your refund. It may not be fair though to your seller as Fiverr doesn’t grant partial refund. So if you claim a refund, you’ll get a full refund, thus the work that was initially delivered to you, that is, before the extra 4 intros, will be cancelled and refunded, too. Just curious, why can’t you contact the seller anymore?

fitzythird
Reply to @jesdj88: I know you labeled it wrong but I am glad we on the sell side saw this. It affects all of us and it stinks. I hope Fiverr returns your funds. You hit the 1% of idiots that are on here or in any business. I for one am sorry this happened to you. I’m quite sure I speak for many sellers…
