Sound Notifications or Chat box

I really wanted to suggest this. Just like facebook, fiverr should have something like chat box and make sounds if there’s some new message came. Chat box for orders and Chat box for Private messages. The reason is, while I am busy working with some of my project illustrations, there’s no alarm if I received any messages for an update so I ended up replying them after an hour and also, in my country, internet connection isn’t that good so sometimes, I refreshed the page so that I can see if there’s new message came to my message box, notification thumbnails above.

It is a request from Fiverr admin please add sounds with each notification, inbox message and update it will be a great help and may boost the frequency of working.

Actually, I think the chat is a MUST. I always have clients that are online, and I have to wait for them to reply for futher clarifications, and this could make my day. Furthermore, if I am online (and I am always online) it would be a great way to get impulsive sales that I might lose if the client has time to think it twice before purchasing.

I wouldn’t need the sound notifications, though I think it’s a great idea! I second thinking chat is a bad idea, though, unless it’s something you can disable. For me, the messages back and forth in the inbox are enough and I like that it’s recorded.

A chat box would probably have to implement a separate function to save the chat logs so you can dispute anything that was discussed only through chat instead of through the main order conversation. That’s extra stuff to worry about. I’d rather all text communication with buyers be handled in one place, in one way.

So I’d be all for other sellers getting a chat feature as long as it doesn’t become a built-in function you can’t turn off.

I agree with salidarvuelta. A chatbox is a must for some sellers. If we’re away, not available, or don’t want it then we should be able to choose from a preferences menu.

In my business, communication is a must.
