Where do you find the buyer requests? I can only find seller-related offers.

What kind of service do you offer? Some gigs may be more popular. Also, how you described your gig is an important factor, a good description can convince a hesitant customer. When I started, I wrote a lot about my past experience and previous works, then some potential customer pmed me to clear their doubts and place the orders. Trust is a very important factor.
