ventriloquist1
14 days ago I noticed that my Requirements for all my gigs had become truncated to just the first few words. I tried editing each requirement, then clicked Update, then Save. The requirement then APPEARED to be saved, but when I re-entered edit mode to check I saw that the requirement had become truncated again to the first few words.I tried deleting all my requirements and re-typing them, with the same result each time. And each time a Buyer has ordered one of my gigs, I see that they ahve been receiving the truncated versions of each requirement. After reporting this to Customer Service, I noticed that they kept marking my request “solved” without even ever responding to my request! After six days I posted the problem to a Fiverr Facebook page and got a quick response from CS, saying that the problem has been referred to the tech department. Now it’s 8 days later and the problem remains. And no response to the several updates I have made to this ticket.Has anyone else had this requirement glitch? Any solutions? Any idea why Fiverr seems unable to fix it, 14 days after I first reported it???
pj_morgan
I am having trouble uploading files to the requirements form in the instruction section and therefore unable to initiate a job countdown. Does this sound like the problem you are having?
jonbaas
Go into edit mode on one of your gigs… the requirements section (at the bottom) is completely missing. Gone. It’s not even an edit option anymore. There is no way to create or set order requirements at this time.
ventriloquist1
pj_morgan, No, that is not the problem I am having, but I thought that was a problem for a little while until I noticed that in Edit mode “Requirements” is listed now at the top of the page, not the bottom, along with the other fields. Take another look for it there. My problem is that my Requirements keep getting automatically deleted, except for the first few words.

rudevectors
I’ve had issues before where I’ve updated the requirements and they take but when I look at them again on another tab, the old text was there. Try clearing your cache, or use another browser for that session.Although they probably catch this via their code and render it harmless but are you using any special characters in the text? Sometimes the code will truncate everything from the position of the special characters. The other problem which still exists from a long time back, is the random addition of spaces, especially after carriage returns. What I mean is, that each time you edit the requirement, more spaces appear, and therefore your character count goes up. This could then be deleting your text, as you only have a 450 limit per requirement. You can highlight the spaces (if you have any) by clicking and holding the left mouse button, whist dragging over any white space.
giveawaypromote
I had this same problem – figured out that it was cutting off after the use of parentheses in my requirements. Removed them and the full requirements were sent out again.
ventriloquist1
A few days ago I was suddenly able to edit my Requirements again, for no apparent reason, and without having received any support from CS since I had first reported the problem three weeks prior. Actually, neither of the above scenarios was the cause, i.e. I had already made sure that I had deleted all empty spaces, and I did not have any parentheses or special characters. So it remains a mystery, but thanks to both of you for your input.
mgjohn78
I think the testing of the new tabbed gig edit system might have been causing the issues. The new tabbed layout has been tested for a few weeks, sometimes i have had the old layout where everything is edited on the same page and other times the new tabbed layout. The tabs Overview, Pricing, Video and Requirements should appear right above the gig title on the default overview tab.
ventriloquist1
Yes, those tabs do appear above the gig title. They just don’t work properly.
