Not selecting a category causes an error since there is no default category.It doesn’t automatically pick a category like the old forum and this is for a very good reason. People had a tendency to post everything in Tips for Sellers because it was the default and made a mess. So, be sure to write your post and choose an appropriate category from the dropdown. If you don’t, Forum ID missing is displayed, usually in a pink box. While you are at it, please try to choose the sensible category, not just Tips or at random.One of the images below shows only the critical step of choosing a category. When they told me how to fix it I was so baffled because it was so simple! Felt a bit stupid to be honest… 🙂Anyway, I think in order to prevent this problem the error text should be changed to something different to direct the user to use the drop down menu at the bottom. ‘Forum ID is missing’ is confusing and doesn’t show how one can sort the problem out. They are not things I can help with, but as time permits work on the forum continues. This thread will now be closed but remain up for a while in case others have the forum ID issue.
