Why not allow more than 30 days for delivery in Custom Offers?

I was asked to translated a 45k-word book, which I won’t be able to do in less than a month. But the longest deadline you can set on a custom offer is 30 days. So now I have to explain to the customer that we need to split the order in two or three parts. This looks like an unnecessary complication. I’m just wondering what is the use of such an arbitrary limitation.

Hello Marco, it’s probably a blessing for you to split such a large order into several parts due to the risk of a cancellation after you do the work or some type of problem that you cannot forsee.
