How Can I effectively Promote my Gigs?

I have recently been researching on various ways to promote my fiverr gigs. I watched a youtube video that recommended me to join fiverr related facebook groups. I followed their advice, but unfortunately a majority of them are just filled with spam. Can you me give any tips on how to effectively promote my gigs?

It’s hard to promote Fiverr gigs on Facebook, Google+ or Twitter, as people won’t like over-promotional stuff. Unless you can naturally integrate your service promotion into your social network, but it’s hard.

I’d recommend you build a blog / website dedicated to your Fiverr gigs and manage to get it to the first or second page of Google. It works well.
