Requesting extra time?

I am currently writing a white paper for a client and have about a day left to complete it. Earlier, she told me that she didn’t need it right away, and that I can turn it in next week if I have to. This would be really helpful as it would improve the quality of my work.

Can I get the order modified to reflect this new time period?

Thanks!

Just write to the buyer and confirm the date, then deliver a message when the delivery is done. As long as you have proof that they said you can deliver it late, then you should not get any negative reviews.

But if the deadline is tomorrow, I would not just give a random “next week” I would give the client a specific day…like Monday.

I agree with Sincere18.

Being specific with your buyers about projects and expectations helps keep things clear. As far as the Gig timer, the only way I know of to reset it, is to mutually cancel and reorder. If I remember correctly, if you are late your buyer can opt to not pay. Again, if you have it in writing, this should not be an issue. I don’t think it is counted against you if the timer runs out and you both agree that “late” is acceptable. Please feel free to correct me on this.
