I’m not a techie, but here’s a suggestion. Before you give access to your wordpress site to a stranger, save all the code in a word document. That way if they screw up, you can restore it to what it was.

I believe it would be smart to create a backup of your website before trusting it to a random stranger just like fastcopywriter said! Not only you should have copied the code. You should have created a complete backup in case things go wrong!
