Greetings to all. For seasoned fiverr sellers, especially those with more than a year’s experience under their belt. how has fiverr changed for you over the years/months? if you compare now to when you started, have you seen a steady increase in sale or have you gradually seen a plateau or dare I say a fall in sales? I’m curious, considering the influx of new sellers/competition.

I started on New Year’s Eve, 2013. I think my profile says Jan 2014. Levels, extras etc were all in place by then. I had decided to try more online income sources–I had been put off by the, well, Fiverr $$$ prior. But hey, a new year and trying new things, right?

I didn’t really have all that much success until maybe Feb-March this year. Repeat buyers and 5-star reviews took me from what I guess is an averagely-performing gig (maybe 10-20 gigs a week) to where I am now. Took me by surprise really, and I almost stopped working here in January 2015 because it didn’t seem worth it. There is very little point relying on luck, business is business, but in this case luck smiled on me. But luck can also snatch it all away 🙂 and of course, my good work contributed to this luck. Essentially in a few months I’ve gone from being OK pocket money to ‘hey, this is an income!’. I make in two weeks now what it took me a year to make in 2014, to be blunt. I’m still surprised… all this from a website that I dismissed so long ago–and I only came out of a desire to grow my business and the new features (levels etc) were attractive to me.

I sympathize with you @kyblynx, having been at the wrong end of a boot on other freelance websites, though it is possible to recover, but it’s a question of energy and effort! Never done VA work but that must be particularly punishing when you have demanding (unreasonable) clients like that. Hope it picks up for you here and/or elsewhere soon.
