ricksper
Reply to @webexpert1313: I’m not sure that’s correct. When using a PC, your online status is not consistent. When you connect to a server, you are fed the page you requested and then your computer disconnects and sits “idle” until the next time you request a page. I believe that the interval that this happens is set by your browser or by you refreshing the page. So the server (Fiverr) can not tell if you are online or not unless it somehow can poll your status. But the server can not be connected to every user all the time. That’s why you will sometimes see the green dot next to your username and sometimes not.Someone correct me if I am wrong about this.
misscrystal
It will not do any good to show as being online if you are not actually on fiverr since people will try to message you and expect an instant reply which they will not get.

ricksper
Depending on your browser, there are add-on extensions that will refresh your page every n number of minutes.
emmaki
It’s not a good idea for the reasons stated my misscrystal. Turn it off, go to bed/that party/watch TV and relax. Your gig will be visible to (some) people searching in your area. Your chances of conversion whether you’re on or offline are in single digits anyway, sooooo. misscrystal
Reply to @gamunu:I’m not sure I would call it a filter. It does not affect your ranking as far as I know.It is just so people can send you a message and know you will see it immediately.
