Desktop Notification Option

Recommended Posts

Huh, I didn’t know there was a sound. I usually need to keep my laptop silenced though so a visual could be helpful as well. 🙂

Most of the browsers won`t allow that and thus, this feature couldn’t be created from Fiverr side. However there is a simple remedy -

The real-time notification option is already updated and included in fiverr: you can enable it by doing the following
Click on your Profile—>Settings—>Notifications—>REAL-TIME NOTIFICATIONS[Enable/disable real-time notifications].

@weessii,

This is browser notification. If fiverr.com isn’t opened in browser, we get no notifications. It’ll be great if we have a fiverr desktop notification just like gmail or twitter etc… 🙂

Here’s what you can do to have ~real-time notifications on desktop

  1. Install the official “fiverr” application on your smartphone and this will keep you up to date on your phone.
  2. Install “Desktop Notifications” on your smartphone to push the fiverr’s notifications to your web browser.
  3. Install the web browser “Desktop Notifications” add-on.
  4. Make the web browser’s add-on capable of running in background so even if the browser is closed the add-on can still push fiverr’s notifications on your desktop.

(I am a new user and I can only put 2 links in this post so I copied the original text with all the links and posted it on a text sharing website. Here’s the link: https://jpst.it/18ATu)

If you are having problems to make the add-on run in background check these links or you could simply keep a window of the browser open and minimize it.

Check the application’s website for further information about them: notifications.hcilab.org

Just keep Fiverr open in a tab in the browser in background and enable the new sound notification. You will get a beep in the real-time when you receive any notification/message.

Yes, there is a quick “tick” sound whenever you get a notification in the desktop version. Granted, I believe that could be improved -I prefer the sounds you hear on the mobile app as they are more pronounced, but at least I don’t confuse it with other sounds, like email.
