I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH REMOVING THE STUPID RESPONSE RATE CRAP!!!



I too am stuck at less than 100% response rate and I have my fiverr open 24/7… I literally sit at my computer all day and work on several different freelance sites. I catch my messages within a few minutes to a few hours and answer everyone… Even those stupid people who just contact me with.



"hey are you there?"

And that reason alone is good enough to not have a “Response rate” feature…



Fiverr can be great but the truth is … it is a painful platform to work on for several reasons… we don’t need another reason…

It feels so odd having to respond to messages like “Ok”. How do you even respond to such messages? And I assume if you don’t, then your rate will drop. I’m happy when it’s 100% and intend to keep it so, even though it’s not having any effect on anything. #:-S

Many times fake buyers and other sellers sends me messages that is not at all important to respond. But for that fiverr cuts down the response rate. I would love to see this feature gone

I’m not a fan of the whole response rate deal. I can see why it was implemented, but it seems like it is just another metric to chase that takes away from fulfilling orders. We get so many erroneous messages daily and some don’t even warrant a response, but to keep that number up we have to respond? sigh

My response rate was 100% until this morning. There is only 1 message I haven’t responded to, and that is Fiverr Update on the new subcategories in Writing and Translation. Now my response rate is 96%.

Since sellers are concern about responding to messages so they their response rate doesn’t take a hit, here is how my conversation went with another seller this morning 🙂



SELLER-1 (ME): Are you shutting down your gig or just going on vacation?



SELLER - 2: Just going on vacation but not using vacation mode.



SELLER -1: Thanks have a good one



SELLER - 2: I will



SELLER - 1: Good show



SELLER - 2: Ok



SELLER -1: enjoy



In other words, both of us was trying to get the last word in so we would not be dinged for not answering a message.

It’s completely unfair when you are receiving messages from other countries as well.

My rate dropped from 100% to 67% this morning because I was unable to immediately answer it do to the heinous offence of being ASLEEP at 3:30 in the morning.

I wish that the response thing had never been implemented.

I sign the petition, if that is still the topic.



My response rate is apparently 96% since 2 days, even tho I have answered every possible message I have in my inbox.



PS. Fiverr team please make finally a detailed analytics page like every other company has because I have to make a screenshot everytime at the end of a month and stop focusing on useless and time-wasting things which makes out of sellers VIRTUAL RESPONDERS to the people who doesn’t know how to order on fiverr and ask us 999 questions not related to our gigs …

Reply to @adnagam: Happened to me from 50 to 100% overnight, too. So weird & I got no new messages.

I thought this was funny. Now facebook is implementing it too! Hahahahah!! What ever use this has to them, must now be an industry standard. Everyone is trying to get me to answer EVERYONE and it’s not going to happen. lol. I’m okay with the stat that 95% of my messages I respond to. I’m also at 5% cancellation rate and I’m okay with that as it’s more like 2% if buyers would stop ‘making mistakes’. You can’t please everyone, and you will have some bad apples in the bunch. I take real good care of that 95-98% and care less about the 2-5% as it’s their loss, not mine.

This’s ridiculous! My rate is now 62% and the bar is red, I wonder what would happen when it is lower. This’s one of those message that, according to Fiverr, I’m supposed to answer and be polite: "Can you sell me some of your best work for me to publish on my site and use it as my own work?"



It’s not spam, it’s not a potential sale, it’s something I only want to ignore. I just want to click the delete button, not answering, not reporting. And because of a couple of these my rate is getting lower!

I also agree that the response rate should be removed as it is unfair to those who live in different timezones. Most of my customers live in countries outside of the country I live in and it is impossible to maintain a high response rate with such a situation.
