How to get a better service from sellers

Obviously service quality will differ from seller to seller yet there are some rules if you want to get a good service.

1- Dont waste the sellers time !

Understand that your buying the time of your seller to complete a service for you. Do not make it a pain for both sides by asking questions that are allready answered in gig description or such… i have even had people ask me ‘will i deliver’, even yough i had dozens of 5 star reviews…

2-Do not expect a seller to change his life routine for your 5 dollar order. seller cant give you technical support for days (unless its what its offered) or deliver an order which has 10 days average delivery time in a few hours for you just because you asked. Buy the extra fast option if you want it extra fast, its there for a reason !

3-Do not expect miracles. After all you have just paid 5, it can only get you so much. Do not expect one person to spend a day on your work because you have paid him 5 !

4- Fiverr is not chat a place. all your questions, order directions, put them in one message. do not make the conversation unnecesarily long. Remember, your buying time ?

5- Do not abuse sellers or do not expect them to to extra work because of something that is wrong on your side…

this is pretty straight forward…

there is more but in general, just respect your seller and his/her time. and understand, 5 can only get you some, 10 can get you 2 somes, but at the end, no matter what you pay, you can only get ‘some’…

If a buyer ever pays me more than I ask for (happens surprisingly often) I’ll typically put twice as much work / effort into the gig, making it way more valuable to the buyer ultimately. All about creating goodwill!

Great suggestions, here’s a few from me.

  1. Don’t ask stupid questions. If Seller X creates logos, don’t ask him what he does or how he does it. Read the gig description, then place an order.

  2. If you want to get a seller’s attention, place an order. Messages are annoying. See #1.

  3. Keep realistic expectations.

  4. Warn the seller before leaving a bad review

  5. Demand a revision before writing a negative review

  6. Don’t ask for things you didn’t pay for. If you paid for 5 widgets, that what you should be getting. Don’t ask for 10-15 more unless you’re willing to make another order.
