I have been on fiverr for about four months now and despite the fact that i render good services that i love doing, the orders have not been keep coming and i have tried so much but the same result continues to persist. Please as experienced sellers here, what can i do to increase my earning? Your comments and criticisms are welcome.

I would say use buyer requests.Lower your expectations of fast earnings. In my initial days, i had to write about 10 articles of 500 words for one or two gigs.I did those to get reviews.I kept on taking offers which were a steal, literally, for the buyers. But, by suffering a little in the start, i managed to get some reviews and reached level one. Although i don’t get like 100 of orders, actually, there are days when i don’t get order for days. But, i have made plenty of repeat customers, who are willing to offer the money that is worthwhile.

There are actually a lot of grammatical mistakes through your profile and gigs. That is going to be a problem if you are claiming to write perfect English. Are you a native American or an international student who studied here?

Also, is your profile photo a real photo of you? It kind of looks like a stock photo, and you also have it in one of your gigs, so I was just wondering.

One of your gigs hardly says anything, it has like 2 sentences.

Another thing is you need to research the top sellers who are offering what you do or similar. Then take the time to read all their gigs, their profiles, see what kind of photos they use, what kind of videos and try to compete. Remember that it’s a competition here, just offering a service doesn’t mean someone will buy from you, you have to make yourself stand out.

To repeat what @sincere18 said, there’re a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes in your profile and gig listings. This can be tolerated in other categories, but because you’re advertising yourself as a writer (and won’t even say what university you graduated from), spelling and grammar mistakes are an red flags that instantly turn away new buyers. I’d suggest you hire a copywriter or editor to rewrite your profile and gigs, but if you don’t have native-level fluency in English, you’re going to get very bad reviews and zero repeat customers after the orders start coming in.

Few observations I made about your profile.

  1. RESPONSE TIME

Your response time is too high. “16 hours?!”…that’s exactly what a buyer will say when they want to place an order on your gig. Buyers want to be responded to, quickly, so they could feel valued.

    RECOMMENDED SOLUTION

Well, one trick of reducing response time is for you to get the Fiverr app. For now, it’s just on android and ios devices. When you get the app, make sure you reply any message the moment you see it. Even if you can’t render solutions at that given time, I will suggest you just reply by saying you will check it and get back to the person. That will really bring down your response time.

  2. INCONSISTENCY

I noticed that the gig photo of your gig with the title “I will write a 900 words unique article on any topic for $5” has 600 words in it. While the actual gig title says you will write 900 words. Honestly, as a buyer, I won’t place my order because I will say to myself: "if the seller cannot even sort the exact thing they want to do, how can I rely on them to do my work correctly?"

    RECOMMENDED SOLUTION

You should either reduce the number in the title so that it will tally with the one on the photo, or increase the number on the photo so that it will tally with the one on the title. It’s your choice to make.

  3. NO GIG VIDEOS

All your gigs have no gig videos attached to them. The essence of putting videos is to pass across the message you have on your description in a video format because most people prefer to watch videos than read about 800 to 1200 words of description. And the video limit must be 1 minute (Fiverr policy). The thing is, Fiverr has even indicated that you tend to get 220% more orders when you include a gig video. They made the system, and they said so…so it’s high time you get those videos up there if you really want to get more orders.

    RECOMMENDED SOLUTION

Try and make videos and state the exact service you want to render. If you are camera shy, then you can use even online video makers like powtoon to make something just to deliver that message. You can even hire other people on Fiverr to make the videos for you. Once again, it’s your choice to make

  4. LONG DELIVERY TIME

I also noticed that your delivery time for one of the gigs is 3 days and the other is 6 days.

    RECOMMENDED SOLUTION

I strongly advice you to reduce them all to 1 day. Since buyers want to get their orders ready as soon as possible, they will prefer to place orders on your gig than placing orders on another gig with higher delivery time simply because you have a shorter delivery time.

    WORDS OF ADVICE:

The first few orders are usually difficult. You have to endure. As the saying goes, “Pay today and play tomorrow”.

I hope this little write-up can help you with your Fiverr career and at the same time, I wish you the good luck.

    Best Regards!
