Promoting to Previous Buyers

It would be very useful to have a feature that allowed us to send a bulk email to previous buyers, so we can inform them of special deals etc OR an autoresponder system built in so that we can write a sequence of messages to maintain a relationship with previous customers. I am sure this would increase sales by reminding our previous customers of the great deals they have had in the past.
