These are my opinions.

Your photo editing gigs don’t use “real world” examples. You took graphics off the internet, which are already crisp, clear, clean, high-quality images, and made your changes (i.e. background removal, touch-ups). That doesn’t show how well you work with people’s REAL photos, which may have poor lighting, busy backgrounds, other people, etc. Anyone with a basic image program can easily clean up high-quality pictures like your examples. Change all your samples to real work you’ve done on pictures taken by regular people so potential customers can see whether you really know how to do what your gigs say.

Another problem you may have is that these gigs are offered by hundreds of other people. That doesn’t mean you can’t establish yourself if you do good work, but it’s much more difficult.

To really clean up your gigs, you may want to have a better English reader/writer fix the grammar in your gig descriptions but more importantly your gig titles. They are understandable, but some people will skip over your gigs if they see poor English because they’ll worry about communicating with you.

Use your own image for your profile picture. People recognize when sellers use images taken off the internet and may consider that the seller has something to hide if they’re afraid to use their own photo. Or at least use an original image related to your gigs that you created.

Good luck.

@eva_baraja Try to make your offer unique. Your current offerings are tasks that someone does in a snap of a second.I wonder if they would consider paying $5 for it.

Most imp: Your target audience is on Pinterest.Add a high quality picture on Pinterest and link that back to your fiverr profile.

Let me know if this works for you.

Good luck.

Reply to @captainshrink: Hello, I took a look at your gigs. These are my opinions.

First, you’ve been a member since April 2015. Barely a week. If you take the time to read the many excellent articles in the Tips for Sellers & Fiverr FAQ forums directed at new members, you’ll know that it can sometimes take weeks or months to get a first order. Fiverr will expose new member’s gigs frequently for the first month or so, but after that your gigs more or less share space with everyone else, so self-promotion is something you can do to help yourself. And do read the articles for other suggestions.

Second, I personally abhor gigs which do homework. How would you like it if the doctor doing open-heart surgery on your mom or dad outsourced all his/her college papers because of laziness, poor time management, or worse, not having enough intelligence? I would think much better of you if you offered tutoring services instead. Since you’re not in the U.S. I suppose you don’t have to worry about the increasing number of American cities and states which actually make it illegal for students to pass their course or obtain a degree if they are found to have submitted purchased papers; some will also bring charges against the sellers of such material. Maybe you’ll rethink this gig, knowing that some of your customers will get expelled from school if and when they get caught turning in papers they did not write.

Third, are you a psychologist or psychiatrist? If you are, then why are you selling your professional services on a $5/gig website? If not, then you should know that in some countries you’re breaking the law by practicing medicine/offering professional services without license OR valid qualifications. In most western nations, people offering these services not only need a medical degree, doctorate or a Masters degree, clinical training, licensure and membership in professional organizations but also must have malpractice insurance to protect patients from substandard care & advice. Even marriage counselors are required to have a certain level of training & education, such a social service degree (which requires a Masters degree or higher in most of the U.S.) in order to accept payment. I think you are taking a risk to offer “professional counselling” unless you have the educational background and accreditation necessary. Your description only says you are a “gifted learner” with a “keen interest” in psychology. Claiming to be “a natural empath” who’s been giving advice for three years is frankly meaningless in quantifying your actual background & ability to offer valid, professional services.

These are my observations & opinions. I hope you’ll reconsider some of your gigs and offer services which are not as controversial.

It’s always tough getting the ball rolling with a new account. You need to get some 5 star reviews on there to build trust from others. The first step in any business is to hit up your friends and family for support… Let your friends and family know what you’re doing and get them to support you with a purchase + review.

Other idea is to offer something OVER THE TOP for the first 5 buyers that give you a positive review…

Once you get the ball rolling, everything becomes much easier.
