One Negative Rating can Destroy you. Beware!

Hello my friends,

I am FrenchShark, a new Logo Designer in Fiverr,



Yesterday I had to face the big problem on Fiverr. One of my buyer make a worst review for me. As he message me, ‘‘the result was not nearly as expected, or samples on offer’’. He didn’t ask for any Satisfaction Warranty or any kind of Modification. At leaset he just provide me few information. I know, it is difficult to satisfy everybody from a Logo design work. Thats why I give them a Satisfaction Warranty. He had to tell me what he exacly wanted. it. My gig title is ‘‘I will do Logo or Monogram Design for $5.’’ As I think he ma be needed a monogram. Why some buyers are work like that??



Now the problem is I just have 83% rating. I just have 4 ratings and one negative rating ruined me. I didn’t get any order today. As I think, this can be the end of my Fiverr part time job.



I want to know something from experienced Logo Designers on Fiverr. Can you tell me how do depend your Logo design gigs without any negative rating?

You can contact this buyer. ask if he have corrections? if he has corrections do it soon. and if he don’t have modifications , do your job… money back guarantee… ask him to like to mutual cancellation…

Reply to @kay2809: From a guy who has had a fair share of rations, I can see how the sentence makes sense with “ratio” or “ration”. Anyone who likes them has obviously never tasted real people food!

I think if you get more orders, your rating will go up. Change your gig to:



" I will do 2 Logos or Monogram Designs for $5", this should get you more orders, and then you can change your gig to what you had before.



In the language section, I would include that you speak French, assuming you do. It’s a huge market. In the gig section, you can translate your gigs, so always translate it to a language you speak really well.

I was expecting to click on your page and see some really badly designed logos, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. Personally, I believe that the quality of the samples outweighs the review.



The problem with any design work however, is that it all comes down to opinion at the end of the day. It was very unfair that he didn’t give you a chance to make amendments.



I did a search for the company on google, looked at the website and the logo is terrible. The website also took a very long time to load due to bad scripting, I think the logo is the least of his worries at the moment.



Offer him a refund or amendments, if he accepts the refund, my tip would be to keep checking the company website.

In regards to the thread title, yes, it can, but in Fiverrland, it can also mean absolutely nothing. It can have zero affect on anything other than how many stars are by your name.



As far as not having any orders “today”. That can and does happen to the TRSs and everyone else.



Focus on providing good, original work and the stars will sort themselves out.

Reply to @writerlisaz: It’s a shame, but I am hesitant to even comment on threads about logo etc., design. So many are fraudulent that I don’t want to encourage anything.

I’m sorry to be the rude guy here as a fellow logo designer i have to say that he needs to improve a lot more… and he is lucky that he got 1 negative review.

I check the profile and from what I saw maybe 1 logo was “ok”

Please be proactive and contact the buyer. Unlike the others I also think that one positive review needs hundreds to outweigh it - and if you don’t have them yet you probably won’t get them.



Now is the time to act ! Tell him that not only will you return his money, you’d also do another one for free - you get the point - do as much for the guy as you humanly can.

ONly 2 things to do…


  1. You have to do : request him and cancel the order you will get back your rating.
  2. You Had to do : always send your work before delivery on mockup or water mark.

    buyer will tell you what to do with it. if he is happy you can send delivery. if he is not happy do modifications until he get satisfaction…

    Hope you will remember these 2 points.

Reply to @alessiobux: Then maybe what you should have done is offered some constructive criticism, rather than call his work crap and then walk off.



My opinion is that your logos are too overcomplicated, I admire the fact that you’ve put a lot of work into them and they do look nice. However, if a logo design is too complicated in design, it will remove attention from the product or service. My criticism would be to tone them down a bit.

Don’t be so negative. Contact the buyer and sort out the issue. Redo the work or offer a refund in a polite way. Major issues can be solved if you communicate politely.

i saw your profile and logo that got bad feedback was could be more better if you centered the text below triangles. and used a better font like bebas neue OR franchise.

i will suggest that do not use fonts that are provided by default with graphic software.

search for some professional one.

talking about me I just want the client to be happy with their logo

if the product or service sells or not is not my problem, marketing is not my field, and 90% of the time the clients decide how they want the logo they are not intrested on what we suggest.
