Reply to @logoworld07: You only need to do that if you make more than 2.5 lakh/year.

I don’t do this myself. My father does because he has an accountant for this stuff and he also submits his own Return forms.

I am slowly learning about this stuff now since the income seems to exceed 2.5 lakh.

And yes, for this income you also have to pay tax. Since this is self employment and source of income.

Thanks for reply. My father is also a gov employee and pay taxes but that is something different. I just reached 2.5 lakh limit but this financial year is just about to end and from April new financial year will start so i’m planning to pay taxes. Can you tell under which category this income comes? Self employed ? Other source of income ?
