What is the most a seller has earned in a year on Fiverr?

I am by no means the highest, but I have been very satisfied. I have been self employed for over 20 years. I am in the audio and video production category. I have a brick and mortar production studio and I have used fiverr to supplement my other audio and video work. I have worked 1100 jobs on fiverr in about 15 months at an average sale of $30.00. It took about 4 months to get some traction. I have had a lot of months that ranged from $1500-$2500. I have been able to work my gigs to a place where they are producing between $40-$100 per hour. At the first of the year, I suspended my explainer video and whiteboard video gig because I was getting too many emails and orders. I have recently been getting enough whiteboard work from private messages from previous clients. They message me on fiverr and I send them custom quotes. This wasn’t a planned strategy. I kind of stumbled into it while I suspended my gigs in January for a trip.

I love fiverr, but I would challenge your “desire to be full time doing any one thing”. When you are self employed you can diversify your income. It is important to have multiple legs holding up your financial table. That way, if one leg breaks, your table still stands. Every stream of income has risks and things that are out of your control. you don’t want to be left with something shutting down all of your income at the same time.

When I started, I just thought I could make $600 a month. I was encouraged by seeing others do well. I hope this encourages you to continue to redesign your offers to raise your hourly rate. Focus on the right jobs with gig extras and not the quantity of gigs.

Reply to @landongrace: This overview is very similar to my own experience in the Fiverr universe. I was able to consistently make $1500-$2500 monthly within three months and have completed 1100 gigs in about 11 months as a seller. My average gig is up to $17 and I easily make $45-$100/hour as a Level Two seller. My work is in the writing and online marketing categories mainly.

I, too, use the custom gig feature as much as possible. The only thing that caps my earnings is my availability to complete gigs. I have a million ideas on new gigs and ways to diversify, but I can’t justify my customer service suffering nor losing my sanity while raising three kids 🙂

I agree with Landongrace about the risk factors, however. I see little to no risk that my Fiverr buyers will dry up, but I do see risk in Fiverr itself drying up, changing policies, or being acquired. So far the folks at Fiverr have done the exact opposite and expanded my ability to make money more and more efficiently. My only advice to anyone reading this is to treat your Fiverr profile as your online storefront - be strategic and invest in your personal branding i.e. videos, photos, and gig content strategies. Ya gotta look better than the competition!

Not sure about that. But I guess web developers are earning most.

Anyone who is good at what they do, and knows how to market and promote themselves effectively can earn a living here on Fiverr. You do not have to be a web developer to achieve success.
