ella_banana I have a question for you.

Since you’re a Top Rated Seller, you might be able to give some advice on the issue of dealing with buyers. Many buyers ask for stuff that you do not provide or that is on your gig extras. Many times I’m forced to provide them with free revisions to avoid bad reviews and order cancellations. Any tips??? Thank you!

Reply to @ifocus3d: Oh my! That’s one of my struggles. Dealing with buyers need some extra effort. I’ve experienced a lot of negative feedback from clients especially from those stingy clients. All the negative feedback are from those who want premium service with just $5. They don’t consider getting the gig extras even if it is required for the job they want to get done. One time, it’s becoming a burden to me. I encounter dealing with clients just to avoid receiving bad reviews. I did revisions and did whatever they want but it turned out I got trolled.

So what I did, I decided to sort what job to accept. For example, a client places an order. She’s asking for a premium service but does not want to purchase the gig extras. What I do is to “Request a cancellation”. I’d rather lose $5 than get a bad review.

And I guess it’s working. Almost all of the services I am doing now are all premium services and these big-spending clients do appreciate my efforts.

Hope this helps 🙂

Cheers!

I’m thankful that Canceling Orders are implemented now. Before, it was one of those things that blackmail us Sellers. Sometimes, it does feel like you’re powerless towards Buyers since Fiverr is your bread and butter. 😦

Reply to @ella_banana: Agreed about negative feedback. Got experienced the same. I have all info and recommendations infront of every GIG. Buyers dont read and they think they will get PRO gig for 5$. Most of them dont even bother to communicate with you so you cant know what exactly they order. They dont even read the instructions. Or some order and then request cancelation for unknown reason.

Congratulations! Can you tell me did you send you’re Fiverr story into the Fiverr admins or did they just see your gigs and pick you? I have been on Fiverr for 4 1/2 years now with over 900 sales and a 100% approval rating and still I can’t manage to get TRS. Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated! Congratulations again!

Reply to @noscamparents: Hi! Thank you 🙂 I didn’t send my story. I really don’t know how I got promoted but I can give you tips on how I manage my work.

  1. Follow the Fiverr rules.
  2. Establish rapport with your client and maintain good communication skills.
  3. Deliver premium quality service.
  4. Sort out good potential clients from tire kickers and trolls. (Before, I accept whoever places orders. That creates more negative reviews. Now, I choose clients wisely which in turn helped me getting back positive reviews and I manage to do earn more doing less).
  5. Maintain high average selling price

Hope these tips help you in reaching the Top Rated Seller status.

Cheers,
Ella

Congratulations! That really is an awesome achievement. Enjoy the stream of orders now. And +1 about canceling vs. doing work “for free” vs. negative feedback. - That’s the only way to handle things.
