victoriandaze
Last year I hired someone to typed 25 pages for me. The Seller sent it back to me in a document that was nearly 100 pages! How? Why? Well, he put in so many double spaces and paragraph returns after each section that it was crazy. He complained about the # of pages and I pointed out what he did. He took way too long to complete a simple gig. Worse, he did NOT type anything. It was obvious from the errors that he used an OCR software to do it. Personally I would not care, except he did not even bother to check his work and there were so many simple errors such as a U instead of two "L"s. Once again, stuff an OCR program does. But here is the best part. I recently hired him again by accident. Another bad job. But he did not submit the entire gig to me. He left out the last 5 pages and told me he would not give them to me unless I went back and changed my bad review!!!I did not even remember I hired him in the past. I hire people on Fiverr all the time. I reported him to Fiverr and they have done NOTHING. How on earth can this not be a violation of some agreement of theirs? The seller if “fragglesrock.” Imagine! This guy wants to e hired to type things and he can’t even spell DESIGN correctly! He has repeatedly offered to refund my money. Not to be nice, but because he does not want me to be able to leave this feedback on his account. Fiverr should change that in certain circumstances such as this one, since it has dragged on for nearly 2 months now! They can read his threats to me. They see what is going on.What would you do? steveeyes
You are not going to like my advise but you asked what would I do.MOVE ONIf time is money, you’ll probably spend more time (if not already) on it than it is worth.
genuineguidance
What is an OCR program?I would contact Customer Service here and include the documentation of him trying to bribe you to change feedback (not sure you could even do that after a year!?) He obviously cannot do half the job (or whatever) and then say, I will give you the rest of it IF you change previous feedback. You paid for a Gig, you should get it, regardless of what your past history with the seller is.Certainly, you can move on as steveeyes says, but, this is blatant blackmail to get what you paid for to you. I think this is unacceptable and unprofessional behavior on the part of the seller.GG
mark74
Reply to @genuineguidance: OCR stays for Optical Character Recognition; OCR apps are the ones able to discover text from an image and save formatted text into a document (usually text, Word or PDF). mark74
If what you say is true (sorry, we can only see your part of the story, so leave me the privilege of the doubt) you are not supposed to change your old feedback, not only because you are free to leave geneuine feedbacks but also because after several days it’s not possible to change feedbacks anymore!More: your seller MUST honour the new order without threatening you; if he doesn’t deliver what his gig states, you have the right to leave another bad feedback, period. That said, I strongly advice you to:not to place any other order with this sellercomplete this order as soon as possible: if you know you won't be satisfied of the result, then accept the mutual cancellation and find a new seller that best fits your needs. So you won't lose your money and your precious time
silvercodesigal
forgery and deceiving to get to the top,my last order with a top seller who promised to ‘design outstanding logo’, her work was far from outstanding it was extremely Unprofessional, and her atitdude was a disgrace! but the major problem was that she found a new trick to stay at the top .she refuses to change the order status to complete and by that she knew she could avoid bad feedbacks, because only when the status turns to complete buyers can write feedbacks.several mails to ask for fiverr support sadly didn’t help at all. mark74
Reply to @silvercodesigal: what you mean with “she refuses to change the order status to complete”?A seller can’t decide to change order status, only the buyer can!If seller doens’t deliver the order with given time frame and the order goes very late, the order can be cancelled and a negative feedback can be left from buyer (or it can be automatic). If seller delivers the order, then it’s buyer decision to cancel it mutually (no feedback can be left) or mark it as complete (with a feedback). sellerlies
unfortunately you are wrong 😦 by the way I am talking about the “request for modification” stage) the only way the feedback may be left on an order is when the seller redelivers .when the status of an order is in "request for modification and while in this status the the ability to leave feedback does not exist Also, once an order is cancelled, feedback is not able to be left on the order.in this status the only one who can change the status is the sellers.a loophole that some sellers use to avoid bad feedbacks
mark74
Reply to @sellerlies: no, you’re wrong. When you request a modification the order is still active, that’s the reason you cannot leave a feedback; but the clock is still ticking so the order must be delivered from seller or it goes late. If it goes late you can decide to cancel the order and an automatic negative feedback is left for the seller! The order cannot be left open from seller without a time limit…
sellerlies
again I hope you were right but the answer I wrote above, those are not my words ,but is an exact quote from 6 people from the customer support, this was their answer and they kept repeating it in every mail they sent me.of course without the part of the loophole

You should have requested modification - if what was delivered is not what was advertised and purchased, you have the right as the Buyer to request modification to request to get what you actually paid for. Leaving out work and essentially blackmailing you (the Buyer) is extremely unprofessional. If the Seller simply didn't want to work with you, they should have talked to you and express their desire to cancel before doing any work. This whole thing could have been avoided. I would update both reviews (or contact Customer Support ask for them to change it, providing your recent proof of the 'blackmail' issues with your recent order from the same buyer). I would then state in the most recent feedback box of what happened - the Seller didn't deliver the full work that was advertised and purchased. Then, the Seller blackmailed you staying they'd only deliver the full purchase if you changed an old review.
theslackjaw
Reply to @sellerlies: You obviously are leaving something out or not explaining yourself clearly. As you have described your situation @mark74 is correct. If it is in Request Modification you can still cancel. If the seller doesn’t accept cancellation then you can ask Customer Support to do it for you. This will then leave a negative review for the seller. Now if you tried to cancel and the seller accepted the cancellation…then yes, you are correct you no longer can leave them bad feedback. But you got your money back. It’s either sacrifice the cash to leave feedback, or get your money and go about your business. Can’t have it both ways.
