tallong
Hi, I’m new to Fiverr, and so far I’m very pleased. Question: I have needed tweaks on work, and I am unclear of when to ask via message and when to use the ‘request modification’ button.I clicked the button that says ‘modification required’, but when I checked the status, the job shows up as ‘rejected’. That’s kind of a sharp word considering all I wanted were minor edits, and I hope it does not cause the seller any problems. However, I found that if I do not use ‘request modification’, I lose the ability to send an attachment (and I think the seller cannot send a corrected document to me, either, is that correct?) It’s a problem if you want to send something to show the seller visually what you mean.Comments? Advice?
catwriter
The seller has a few ways to send you the corrected document. It can be done through messages, or on the order page (just a regular post, there’s an “attach files” button on the bottom left), or through the “deliver again” button. All of it can be done even if you don’t click on “request modification” (and, if the deadline is approaching, sellers will greatly appreciate it if you don’t click on “request modification” and possibly make them late and thus reduce their ranking).I’m not a buyer, so I don’t know what things look like from the buyer’s side. Still, check the order page, look where you’d normally post, and see if there’s an “attach files” button on the bottom left. I think there should be. Or, you can send the attachment through the messaging system.
sayasobe
You can be either an Employer or a Worker. As an Employer you can create campaigns (jobs), that Workers will complete and submit proofs, so you can confirm they’ve done it. As a Worker you can complete jobs and submit your proofs of job done, and make money!http://www.jobboy.com/http://www.jobboy.com//img/logo.pngJobBoy : Online Jobs Made Easy!! - Homehttp://www.jobboy.com
ruxandradraws
Catwriter has already answered you. I would only add that you can also send an attachment to a private message and the seller can do the same thing anytime before or after the order is complete. On a side note, I just want to express my admiration for buyers like you, who take into consideration the consequences of their actions. tallong
Reply to @catwriter: thanks for the explanation. The only question I still have is about the messaging system. I realise that one can send attachments that way, up until the seller sends the document, then it seems one can no longer attach a file, or an I wrong about that? tallong
Reply to @ruxandradraws: thank you, that is much appreciated. I’m just not sure you can still send attachments after the job is marked ‘complete’.
catwriter
Reply to @tallong: You can always send attachments through the messaging system. However, once the order is marked as complete, the seller can no longer message you (this is to prevent sellers from spamming buyers), unless you message them first, or unless you have already been messaging each other before. So, if you need them to revise after the order was marked as complete, just message them and ask them for a revision. tallong
Reply to @catwriter: Okay, thanks. There must have been a glitch in the system the day I was trying to do it!
Guest hammi2010
You can always send files. I have return customers continue to send me files to start on the next job even when we don’t have a job open.
catwriter
Reply to @tallong: Some people experience problems with attachments. Some buyers were unable to send me files (necessary files so I could work on their orders!), and with them, it didn’t matter whether they used the order page or the messaging system, their attachments just weren’t going through. Word documents mostly, nothing too long, nothing illegal, nothing problematic in any way. In those cases, they solved it by uploading files to DropBox and sending me the link.
