itsyourthing
As you may or may not know Fiverr has recently introduced a processing fee on orders. Sellers do not receive any portion of that fee. If you find that you no longer wish to make purchases on Fiverr, please contact Customer Support and let them know. jackyheshi
Just curious, why does the buyer needs to contact Customer Support if they aren’t going to purchase anything anyways?
seanc99
Reply to @jackyheshi: It’s to persuade them that this is hurting business and if multiple users speak up they may change their mind.

itsyourthing
I doubt Fiverr will change it, but at least if they know for certain that the fee is actually causing buyers to go elsewhere, there’s a slight chance they’ll do something. foxyoxy
By the time the money gets into my bank account I only get about $4.50 from an order!

melodynolan
I think sellers should threaten to quit over it.
fastcopywriter
Here’s an idea, to avoid overwhelming customer service, post your complaints on Facebook, right here: https://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■/Fiverr

labels4you
Reply to @foxyoxy: That’s if the gig was for more then $4 because a $5 gig you get $4 then you minus paypal fees. you get $3and change ! 😦
bigbadbilly
Thanks @itsyourthing for pointing it out. A lot of buyers think that we sellers get more… but we don’t.The fact is that Fiverr will probably not change a thing. When and if buyers all start to leave the site they may take a look. But it would take a LOT of people to leave. This forum we all communicate on makes up very little of the actual site traffic Fiverr get’s. Like 1%.Most people who buy on Fiverr never even visit the forum or know it’s here.So the people who make up most of the Fiverr sales think it’s normal and will thus not care or complain. We Forum members are a minority. We consist of sellers mainly and buyers that have been with the site forever. You figure there’s what… 50 of us that post regularly? Fiverr get’s millions of visitors. You do the math. LOLWhat’s even worse? If for some reason Fiverr did take notice and enough people left… by then it would probably be to late. The buyers would already be gone for good. LOLYou left out the one-hit-wonders. The sellers who have made two dozen smooth sales and then all of a sudden they get that buyer and run to the forum in a frenzy to ask the old-timers to explain this new kind of crazy: "The buyer never left instructions!?!?!?!". And of course the noobuyer: "I clicked order, but nothing happened - where is my logo?!!?!" :) Fiverr is a fickle mistress.

cwlisa
I don’t understand the issue about this. 25 cents per gig fee is no big deal at all. I have no problem with it…
itsyourthing
cwlisa said: I don't understandApparently you don't. It's 50 cents per $5 gig and ten percent by definition, on $10 and above.
laconception
Does it apply if a seller buy from another seller?
bovcan
Reply to @itsyourthing:50 cents? I get 4$ from 5 $gig. 1$ goes to fiverr. And than some extra fee when i withdraw.
itsyourthing
Reply to @bovcan: when the buyer places an order for a $5 gig, they are actually charged $5.50 when they pay for it.Fiverr added it on top and Fiverr gets it.
itsyourthing
Reply to @laconception: I believe it applies to every order unless the user has previously cancelled an order and received a credit. When the credit money is used for a different order, there is no additional $0.50 fee.

That would be against the law if I hired a full time employer in the USA. Something to ponder now that I pissed off fiverr. This is a freelance agency - they are entitled to charge what they want as a commission. Sellers are under no obligation to use the service. If a seller is spending more time on a gig that they feel the money is worth, it is their responsibility to adjust their gig so that they earn what they feel the work warrants. It would be lovely in everyone in the world earned good money for easy work, but each individual is responsible for what they choose to offer and where. P.S. The lord doesn't ask for 10%, the church does. ;)
