skultyshev Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I’ve tried everything on fiverr, any kind of social media promotion. Usually everything offered is low quality, but there were a couple gigs I admire. First one - is video design. If you pay the seller 50% more than the usual gig, the seller will usually be very excited and will deliver a better gig.Second - comments on facebook - they helped my story get shared 200 times. Great gig, but after 3 gigs seller became a little lazy, so I desided to give it some time. Third one - creating social media accounts in other countries. China, Japan, Latin america, Russia use their own social media platforms so it is important to get featured there and get the links from those sites.Share your experience (only after you buy a gig).
refugeek Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 So far I have just gone for organic social media exposure: I created a twitter, facebook fan page, youtube and so on. I’m hoping for it to grow over time. At least it will give me an objective measurement of how I’m doing.
magisworks Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I ordered one facebook gig and traffic to my site increased but only temporarily. I think it really depends on your target market. Thanks for the tips, going local is one route that remains to be exploited.
Guest tn5rr2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I think word of mouth (which is the comments on social sites) is the best way to get promoted and orders
refugeek Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Agreed. Since most of my gigs have some sort of graphic design output, I put those on my site, as well as FB and twitter.
goodworker123 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I post my gigs to facebook and twitter
magisworks Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Reply to @tn5rr2012: I agree, once I stumbled on a thread in a webmaster forum talking about how excellent one Fiverr gig is 🙂 Imagine how many orders that certain gig got from that thread!
Guest tn5rr2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Reply to @magisworks: wish we had a way of tracking how people find our gigs or from what source they land on our page. I know I could ask my clients but that sounds weird to me so I just accept the fact I have a sale and I am happy
lparziale Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Reply to @tn5rr2012: Maybe Fiverr will have that eventually, not a bad idea!
magisworks Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Reply to @lparziale: I hope they would do that, it would be a great help! 🙂
oranjewebdesign Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Social Media is one of our favourite subjects. We have recently added a few more gigs, so other people can benefit from our notoriety and exposure.I recommend natural promotion all the way, campaigns, events… there are many things you can do to push your SM areas.

ghostwriter786 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 @skultyshev Okay! This is a great post really. We should promote our gigs on social medias too. But now a days there is not much amount of buyers in social medias. I am think about another way to find buyers. If I advertise my gigs on facebook then what will happen? I will try this idea soon. I am telling about the paid advertisements on facebook.Regards,@ghostwriter786
sophiacr7 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I use Tumblr & Facebook.Join tons of marketing groups too. Helps a lot. 🙂
contentcruise Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I use twitter, facebook and google plus, but seriously, I wouldn’t think the efforts truly worth it. May be I spend less time on those platforms, but I thinking of giving it a bit more push in the coming weeks to see how it turn out.Thank you for bringing this up.
razzaka Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Editing gigs after Receiving level one 4 NEWAttention please expert seller, I have joined fiverr about 5 month ago. I gave saven gigs. Now I am…razzaka0 Likes
Guest ramiyo Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I generally use facebook, twitter and google plus profile to promote my gigs.
Guest therealsiri Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 This may or may not work. I think it majorly depends on your product also and how it is being marketed by the seller. If it won’t work then go on another route. 🙂
