miketeller
I’ve passed all of the criteria to be a Level One Seller, but it hasn’t happened yet. Does it take some time for my account to be updated?

seanc99
It is strange how all of your 10 orders are from only 2 users…What’s up with that? And they’re both from USA and your from USA too…
miketeller
What’s up with that, seanc99, is that I have had 2 buyers who were very happy with my work and ordered multiple gigs. If you’re suggesting that I’m doing anything shady, well, I’m not sure what to tell you other than that I don’t appreciate the implication. cust0mcr3ationz
I see nothing wrong with that. When I have fell below a level 2 to a regular seller all I needed to do was contact previous clients and promote my gig and I would have 10 orders without a problem even if some buyers ordered multiple gigs. I was bumped up again in a month or less. it’s called upselling. Not all buyers order just 1 gig. some need multiple services. if you’re selling just 1 gig at a time you better be getting a lot of clients and/or repeat clients or your doing it wrong. The name of the game is to try and sell more than a Fiverr. Contact Fiverr about your situation.
miketeller
It seems my level might be affected by a violation of Fiverr’s terms. I gave my email address to a buyer. Oops. The funny thing is that I didn’t do it to circumvent Fiverr in any way. The guy just wanted to email me a bunch of samples of work he liked. He still went on to order several more gigs from me afterwards, so it’s not like we were trying to cut a deal outside of Fiverr. They’re also saying I posted duplicate gigs, which I didn’t. scoban
@seanc99 I have ordered half a dozen orders from one user (some were tips)… It was a great experience, and he was new to the site, so I am sure he appreciated the practice.@miketeller did CS tell you when you’d qualify for level 1? “Staying out of trouble” is definitely a requirement for levels 🙂
miketeller
@scoban I’m still waiting to hear back from them on the most recent questions about what happens next. All I heard so far was that I got 2 warnings (even though one of them was completely undeserved, I never started duplicate gigs), and that those warnings might be the reason why my level hasn’t gone up even though I’ve met all of the other requirements. This is extremely frustrating. I’ve had mixed emotions already about Fiverr, especially with me being a logo designer. I do true custom work, but I see Fiverr always “recommending” logo gigs with stolen/copied designs, people showing work they didn’t do themselves, using logo templates, etc. They seem largely uninterested in promoting people who do good work, instead promoting scammers and con-artists. It’s very disappointing. While these scammers benefit from Fiverr’s promotional efforts and better search placement, I’ve had to find my customers on my own. Both came from finding me on Instagram and then clicked over to Fiverr to order gigs.So I was already frustrated with Fiverr to some extent, and now I find that they’re penalizing me for giving out my email address and saying that I started duplicate gigs? It all really makes me question why I’m even here.
miketeller
Just got another email. From what I understand, I’m being penalized for giving out my email address. Thanks, Fiverr.Think I’m done here. I was one of the few honest designers doing truly custom work. And instead of embracing that, you’re pushing me out instead. Good luck with the glut of scammers and copycats you’ve got instead.
miketeller
Deleted my gigs. I’m done. This company is deplorable. I ran an honest business here, providing exceptional work and never tried to cheat the company. Meanwhile people who blatantly cheat customers, advertising services using other people’s work and selling copied designs, copyrighted templates, etc., are not only allowed to operate here, but they’re actually promoted and “recommended”.This company is the real scam here. Shame on Fiverr and the people who work there.
miketeller
Reply to @kjblynx: Sure it’s Fiverr’s fault. It’s so obvious, and yet they ignore it. Just browse the logo category and you’ll quickly see the same preview images being used by multiple sellers. They didn’t all design that one same logo, they’re ripping it off from someone else. It’s also very obvious when people use stock templates and call it “custom” logo design. Some sellers don’t even bother to change the stock template preview images from whatever stock site they got the templates from. The previews still reference the original set of logo templates. It will say something like “9 Vintage Logo Templates”.Anyone can spot these scams, but Fiverr doesn’t do anything about it because they’re making money from these scams. They may not be the ones posting the stuff, but they are complicit in the scheme by allowing it and ignoring the con.
netcastle
Fiverr support is active and really supportive.Although some suggestions I read here seems correct, I suggest that if you are confused about what could have happened, contact fiverr support for clarification. I am sure you’d be cleared. Goodluck
