PayPal payment was reported as an International Debit

So you know, I received a notice from my bank that my PayPal direct-from-bank payment for a recent gig was classified as an International Debit to Tel Aviv. This hadn’t happened on previous gigs. Seems like I should have been told there had been a change.

I might be completely wrong, but I wonder if you’d be better off loading funds into your PayPal account and paying with those, rather than paying directly from your card as this may well incur fees from your bank too.
