How do ideas come to you?

I know that an idea is a sudden thing. It comes without a sign, by itself. But some people say that an idea is a result of prolonged productive thinking. Therefore the birth of an idea is a matter of practice.

Do you agree with it? How do ideas come to you?

Usually they snowball from a single idea that I want to enhance. I start with something simple and keep adding, watching it veer off in totally new and interesting directions.

I don’t like to do things on a whim always calculate and plan if it’s going to be beneficial

to me, an idea for me represents a business and at the end of it is a clear set of goals

I think it depends on a person: if he is a creative person ideas can snowball, and if he is a more practical person they might be come from a concrete need, huh?

i have carved a niche on fiverr by selling my ideas… “brand names, logos, and other graphic design services…” Believe me when i say idea is everything… it could come in a split second, it could come tru long proactive thinking… you could get one in a split second but continue to ponder on it, to make it better.

Reply to @madmoo: I’m the same. I never know when an idea will hit. I always write it down and I can think about it later. At least then I don’t forget a great idea.
