Report/Flag Button for Gigs?

Having a report/flag button on gigs will allow us to help the Fiverr admin spot Gigs that violate the TOU, are spammy, are scams, etc. so that they can take action sooner and “bad” gigs will not remain on the Fiverr site for so long.

Now, don’t get me wrong, Fiverr does a good job taking down most of the Gigs that violate the TOU and such. BUT, they DO miss some, as I am sure most of you have seen, some “bad” gigs remain on the site for quite some time before being removed.

I don’t believe this is due to the Fiverr Admin being lazy, favoring certain sellers, or anything of the sort. I believe it is simply because there are SO MANY Gigs on Fiverr, and only a few Admin. It can take a while before Admin spots and takes action some of the “bad” gigs!

Of course, there will be some people who will abuse this feature and report/flag gigs simply because they don’t like the seller, the seller/gig is competition, etc. So, if this feature were to be implemented, there would need to be some way to prevent such abuse. The gig should not be removed automatically just because it was reported/flagged!

Perhaps it could go a little something like this: Once 5 (maybe 10) people report/flag a gig, and select a reason why, then a notification will be sent to the Admin. The admin would then review the gig and determine whether it in fact violates the TOU and if any actions need to be taken.

Right now, the only way to report gigs is to contact customer support. The problem with this, though, is that it takes too much time to report every “bad” gig to customer support, and therefore, people are less inclined to report the “bad” gigs, because there is no simple and quick way to do it.

What are your thoughts on this suggestion? Would you like to see this implemented? Do you think it would be helpful?

Reply to @arnevb: I don’t agree. I mean, yes, it works. You can report gigs by contacting customer support. However, like a mentioned in my post:

Do you not think this is a valid point?

Oh, god no!!! Trust me you don’t want a Flag button. It will become like Craigslist where competitors flag each other down ALL the time. Flagging is a BIG issue over there. Dont ask for something that you may regret later.

Reply to @beatcraigslist: That is why I said:

Fiverr Admin will still be in control of actions taken on the “bad” gig, if any.

I don’t think this is a gud idea , Competitors will flag each other gigs , Unsatisfied buyers .
This is realy a bad idea i think , So this means a person who does not even have an idea about terms and conditions of Fiverr willl have the power to Flag someone’s Gig .

A big thumbs down.
