Is this the correct way to work with customers?

I ordered a gig for some proof reading and got back a message that I needed to send 10 more dollars. Is this bait and swich or is this acceptable.



Sent 7,500 words in the form of several chapters to proof and edit.

Decided to cancel. I would have willing to pay 5 dollars more but to be told that I would need to send 10 more after reading the listing…am I over reacting?

Not that I wish to cast aspersions on any seller here, but someone who offers proof reading that states “…that will make you best writer” probably needs to proof read their gig title.
