Unusual or Funny Fiverr Experiences?

I had someone reach out to me about an adwords gig I do. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but by the end of it the client wanted me to pay for an adwords budget too.



Does anyone have anything unusual or funny experiences?

Someone wanted me to cast them a spell to make love to 30 different women in one night.

I didn’t even know what to do from there lol.

I don’t even cast spells on Fiverr.

Wow…I mean, the guys must have a lot of stamina…or something else…what the heck.



A few months ago a guy messaged me asking if I can work on an illustration which was completely fine, but he basically sent one individual message for each sentence, and each sentence was very short. He was not a native English speaker, but still I thought it was weird.

It was like:



I need a drawing



A man in Hawaii shirt



He needs to smile



Wearing hat.



Can you do?



He did place the order, he did pay the full amount I asked for without complaining, but it took a total of 94 one-sentence messages (yes, I counted) to go through the whole process. 😮

That’s so long. Best way to cope with messages?

@gingerwriter I would have to agree. It has its ups and downs. Anything stand out in your mind?

I find it amusing how often buyers don’t realize what gender I am. It doesn’t surprise me as much if the buyer is from another country since name is one clue to gender but they can differ a lot. I get U.S. buyers who see me sign my name and address me as “Maddie” but review me using he/him. Profile pic would be the other clue, although granted I have short hair plus perhaps they don’t look at the pic. Who knows. 🙂

@fonthaunt Yes! This exactly. I have become male on this site. I don’t want to correct them and seem rude, but I saw the review and just had to chuckle.

Reply to @jdadvertising: I agree with you – it surprises me too. Especially if you know the task is outside of your gig and you know they might not find it here. But, sellers on here are crafty, so, there has to be someone out there offering it.

Once someone contacted me see if I’d make a video for a site that pays people to pass gas. Ummm no thank you. It can get truly bizarre in Fiverrland sometimes.

Actually, fortunately i can craft 99% of what a customer image.



Once i had 2 curious opportunity:

1_was to draw a “mushy” man (not mushy as mushroom, mush as gelly…)

in a Kim Kardashan Cover pose… Disgusting but funny



2_ was a customer that (even if native english speaker) did

send me messages without any kind of sense…like…



“NEED COVER OBJECT0 WITH THIS THING LIKE AND MORE THAT IN THE MIDDLE ANDMORE THAT OTHER OBJECT1 OBJECT2 OBJECT3 IN THE LEFT WITH ALSO THIS ONE OBJECT4 AND OTHER PUT THERE LEFT AND RIGHT NEXT THE MIDDLE NOT MIDDLE AND ADD LEFT FOR EACH SEE USE BLA BLA BLA ADD OBJECT5 TO OBJECT1 FAR TO OBJECT3 FAR TO OBJECT2 BLA BLA” <=this is a sample… his request was not really so easy to read.

All attached, all CAPS, no comma, no dots… and i did read it something like 70times to understand what i had to do… and honestly it was too messy and hard to make… There was no connection in his words, and what a pain to find a way to let all be in the request… was my 1%

Reply to @fonthaunt: i did change profile pic for the same reason…50% of customers saying “working with HIM” “he did” etc etc… And could find a way to say automatically that i was a girl, i had to change profile picture Pff

Reply to @renflowergrapx: I agree, sometimes I have oddballs asking me to do get this unrealistic items for a gig. There’s a lot of great polished services on here for a price and some users think they can have full-service for a fraction of that.

I’ve had a few memorable ones, but the best was being sent a rather explicit 1 hour long sales video to transcribe. And I had to pay extra special attention to what was happening on the screen as they also wanted me to highlight certain words. Certain words and phrases I’d get banned from this forum if I reposted here. The first thing I saw when I pressed play was a pic of male genitalia, and it just escalated from there. Great fun.

Reminds me of a product I saw the other day… a realistic-looking male part to put in your underwear so that ladies would be impressed by pantacular dimensions, let’s say. The larger part was also adjustable should you want to… you get the idea!

If the creator if this thing is on Fiverr, please hire me. I want to write the product description for it. I have so many ideas!

Once a client asked to do a Adult Voice Over … For which we clearly said NO… We dont do such stuff…

Then he said okay can you do a Voice Over where you just have to Scream and do a voice over… Like screaming in pleasure while making out … What he meant was he wants those Sounds as a Voice Over… and i again said NOOOO… He then also gave me an idea where he said you can club male and female screams together and send me as one sample… ill pay you for 2 Gigs… 🙂
