Hi everyone! Need your advice on a situation. 

I have an ongoing order that’s going well so far, but there’s one part I’m unsure about. The customer doesn’t currently have the files he needs to send me to complete the last part of the order. He mentioned he will have these files in August (about 5 months from now). I don’t mind waiting until August to finish the order, but I’m not sure how having the order active for such a long time might affect my success score or other metrics. As far as I understand, some of these metrics are calculated relative to other freelancers, and I’d like to avoid any negative impact if possible. 

Could someone clarify whether keeping the order open for this long would negatively affect my performance metrics? If it does, what would be the best way to handle this with the customer? 

One idea I had was suggesting a partial refund for the portion of the order we haven’t completed yet. However, I’m not entirely sure how partial refunds work in this case. So here’s how it went in the order: 

- The order started at $30.
 - Then we added another piece for $30 (by extras directly in the order).
 - And then another for $30 (by extras directly in the order). 

So, the total is $90, but I haven’t received the files for the last $30 portion yet. Would a partial refund cover 60% of the total ($90) or just of the initial $30? Or is there another solution you’d recommend? 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
