"A buyer sent me a message mentioning only my gig without writing anything else and attached a screenshot. What should I do?

It's a scam; report to Fiverr support.

This has happened to me, too, and it is very demoralising to be scammed in the first hour of setting up a Gig. My concern is that I, as a new seller, can not locate my Gig in the Buyers section.😊 These scammers know that we are new and have uploaded a new Gig. Where is the Loophole in this platform, and How can we resolve this or avoid these scammers?

Fiverr search results page has a filter called "new arrivals". Considering how many new sellers got scammed in the last one year, they should have removed it by now but they have not.

Fiverr could also have introduced a mandatory video tutorial about scamming, to educate new sellers, which they must watch before posting their gigs but they haven't done much except adding a warning in text messages.

If they remove it then sellers with new gigs will probably get less orders and the scammers will probably try other ways if they aren't already eg. finding the newest gigs/sellers from the sitemaps.

I agree this should help.

Agree, provided data supports it i.e. let's say, every month 10-15% of new sellers get their 1st order via this filter. I hope they have stats like this which support and empower new sellers.

But also because we have worked with so many buyers, it feels very unlikely that a new/seasoned buyer would filter sellers by vintage and choose the newest one(s).

New arrivals filter works very well on an e-commerce site if we buy fashion or electronics.
