Question

Posted

Hi, all respected forum members!

I have seen many of the members saying it is prohibited to do meetings on Google Meet. As many buyers tell us to use Google Meet rather than Zoom. My question is, if any seller somehow does a meeting on Google Meet, will it really be a big problem? as Many sellers weren't aware of this. Due to client pressure, many sellers occasionally conduct meetings using Google Meet.

Is there anyone who can give a helpful explanation about it? And if any seller makes the mistake, how can they tell Fiverr that it was an unaware mistake? Moreover, how can we explain and convince the client to do the meeting on Zoom?

It's not worth risking a permanent ban over losing a few clients who are unwilling to understand and cooperate with you and the Terms of Service.

It's Fiverr! I have seen people getting banned for even very minor mistakes. So yes, it is a big problem and I would never recommend doing that, especially when Fiverr is already providing the Zoom feature, which works perfectly fine.

If Zoom was laggy, lacking features or a broken system, it would be understandable to consider using another platform. But since Fiverr already provides a well-established system (through a reputable platform like Zoom), it does not make any sense to use Google Meet or any other platform -- and violate the TOS.

To be honest, Fiverr (or any platform) does not care whether a mistake was intentional or unintentional. With millions of sellers, Fiverr is not going to accept an apology just because someone claims it was unintentional. No one is going to admit, "Hey, I did it intentionally but please forgive me." Everyone claims it was unintentional and Fiverr does not care at that point.

No need to convince. Just educate them about the TOS and if they are unwilling to understand this basic thing, it's better to cut ties with them -- because these type of buyers often end up causing issues (in most cases).
