I am a Level 2 verified seller, working on Fiverr since 2023. I am from India and our India's Fiverr community leader informed us to re-verify our profiles before February (something related to EU law or something). Although my profile was already verified, I decided to re-verify and uploaded my Driving License under the 'Personal and Business Details' section. However, the verification process failed (I don't know why), and now my gig has been deactivated, preventing me from selling.

This verification was not even a mandatory process, so how is it fair to directly deactivate my profile without providing an option to resolve the issue or re-verify?

This email usually goes to new sellers, but I was already a verified and reputable seller -- yet my ID was still disabled.

@Kesha @ana_tomy I am a reputable seller and having my account disabled like this, based on what feels like a baseless point typically applied to new sellers, is very disappointing. Could you please assist me with this? I have already emailed customer support but I would appreciate any help you can provide for a faster or priority response.

Hi @rawque_gulia!

I'm sorry to hear about the status of your account. If you've already contacted Customer Support, please wait for them to get back to you. We can't really help you with this on the Forum, as only Customer Support have the ability to assist with account and verification-related issues. You won't need to open multiple tickets for the same reason, as they will be merged into the original one, and it won't get you a reply any faster. Simply wait patiently for Customer Support to get back to you, follow their advice and troubleshooting steps, and hopefully, this will be resolved in no time.

The issue is that customer support doesn't seem to understand. 

My profile is now showing "approved," but they are still saying that I won't be able to sell until I verify. Verify what? How? It's already DONE!

Indeed, this was apparently also a seller who was already active on the platform. I have deleted my feedback on that topic.

They gave me three options and all failed and now, my ID will be permanently banned after 14 days (even after trying different IDs each time and taking photos with my iPhone). Wow! It’s such a glitchy system and we have to face the consequences.

CS had told me that I didn't have to do ID verification. However, I later saw in my account settings under "Personal & business Info" that I had to do it. So I did it.

The first time I tried the selfie I got the message that it was too dark and that I had to do it again. Instead of standing in front of a white wall I went to the window because there was more light there (the sun was out). The second time it worked.

We just had a baby girl this New Year and today all our relatives are at our home for a party and lunch. And now, I am going through this. Why? Because of this glitchy system! Great job Fiverr for ruining my every moment.

I'm so sorry to hear about all of this 😢..

I hope that your Success Manager takes an action fast within 24 hours even she is out of office. Meanwhile, calm down. I know it's a difficult situation but hopefully things will be fixed! Prayers for you! ✌️

Well, I verified in 2020 or 2021, can't remember, and since then even with the Professions thing, I was not required to verify. I went to Personal and Business Info, and there is a Verify button there. I am not sure if I have to verify yet again...

This is what I have used to verify. 

I need to be sure that everything is OK for me because 95% of my buyers are from Europe.

Filip, you already verified a few years ago right? As I said, I didn't have to verify when the professions thing appeared, even if most people had to do so. Seeing this topic and issues that appear, I don't want to take any random risk...

Yes I was verified. And for professions, I did not need to verify again. CS also confirmed me that I did not need to verify again. 

I just wanted to be sure that everything was OK for me. I took the risk and verified again.

People have different govt issued IDs like Passport, Driving License, Tax Registration, Voter ID, Aadhar (citizenship ID) etc. 

Websites or apps which need verification usually list all these documents and any of them can be used for verification. 

 

Unrelated and amusing bit on this - After a lot of crimes and scams, now even dating apps require people to verify themselves with a selfie and govt ID.

I guess he meant 3 different IDs like National Identity Card, Passport or Driving License something like these IDs..

UPDATE: IT WORKED on the 5th attempt! I can not even describe the relief. This was the last personal ID I had (used Pan Card this time) and thankfully it worked. 🥹

A big thanks to customer support and especially our Community Leader Rishi who forwarded my queries to higher-ups with top priority and stayed connected with me on personal WA chat the whole time. He mentioned that every individual (who is not registered as a company) faced this verification problem.

Thank you so much to everyone who directly or indirectly contributed their support! ❣️

Actually, personal IDs like Driving License, Voter ID, National ID, PAN Card, etc.

Hmm, I don't think you had to verify, nor do I have to, either. But like you, I guess I'll verify just to avoid problems.
