Account Reactivated 4 months ago, Completed 20+ Orders with 5-Star Reviews, But No Level Progress

Hello Fiverr Community,

I’m reaching out to seek some advice and clarification regarding my account status.

A few months ago, my level was demoted from Level 2 to Level 0 due to inactivity. Since then, I’ve reactivated my account and have been actively working for more than 4 months now. During this period, I’ve completed over 20 orders, all of which have received 5-star reviews from my clients.

However, despite these accomplishments, I have not seen any change in my level, and I’m still at Level 0. One of the orders, which was placed more than 2 months ago, was canceled by the buyer due to an issue on their end. Afterward, they requested the designs from the canceled order and even gave me a 5-star review. While I understand cancellations can impact the level, I believe the situation was out of my control.

In addition, my other metrics are all in good standing, and I meet the requirements for a Top Rated Seller. My success score is still at 4, and even though I have completed over 20 orders, my level status has not been updated.

I’m looking for some guidance or insights on how to resolve this. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Any advice on what steps I should take to get my level reinstated would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!metrics.png.f18f47a8ad733dad4ff96a9284617e3f.png

Hey there, my advice to you will be to take your eyes off the stats for now and continue to deliver great results to your clients. In due course, the algorithm will level you up and reflect your true success rate. I hope this helps?😊

Hey, thank you so much for the advice! I really appreciate it. I’ll focus on delivering great results to my clients and trust that the algorithm will catch up in time. Your support means a lot!

By the way, it’s tough to get orders when you can’t even get any support from Fiverr ads either.

I remember suggesting to you many months back that old ways of doing business on Fiverr don't work anymore!! And 5-star reviews are just placeholders now, they don't matter much.

Focus on your individual gig scores and see what factors are impacting them.

So far nobody managed to increase their score from 4, so it will take many months and possibly dozens of successful orders to improve.

And all cancellations and bad reviews will hurt your profile for 24 months at least!!

Scary. As much as I highly regard your input on the platform as an experienced seller, I can only hope this isn't exactly correct. I'm battling the Level 0 issues too although I haven't had any cancellation and only two of my ratings are 4.3 and 4.7. Every other is a 5. Cancellations hurting a seller's profile for 24 months is scary though.

Increasing a success score is very difficult. But the success score can drop very quickly.

Since the introduction of the success score, I have received about 200 5-star reviews and between 5 and 10 scores that were just below 5 stars. My success score started at 9 and is still at 9.

A very bad score, whether it is due to a cancellation or not, will drag you down for 2 years.

I totally get what you're saying!

It's so frustrating how hard it is to raise the success score, and yet one bad review can really affect it for such a long time. Even after getting 5-star reviews, it’s discouraging to see the score stay stuck. I guess that's just how Fiverr’s system works, but it can feel a bit unfair when you’ve put in so much effort.

Hopefully, things get better over time as we keep delivering great work.

I remember you mentioning that a while ago, and it’s clear now that Fiverr’s approach has really changed. 5-star reviews don’t seem to carry the weight they used to, and now it’s all about focusing on individual gig scores and what’s impacting them.

It’s tough to hear that no one’s been able to improve their score from a 4, but I’m staying positive and focusing on delivering solid work. I didn’t realize cancellations stick around for that long, but I’ll keep pushing forward and doing my best.

It’s just hard to compete with other sellers when you don’t have a level to show for your work. Finding orders becomes challenging when impressions and clicks are low. The level system is great in theory, but it would be so much more effective if there was a fairer way for sellers to move up. Right now, it feels like the system doesn’t really allow for real growth and effort to be reflected.

Unfortunately, that's the case. One cancellation or bad review can be catastrophic. It literally feels like walking on the egg shells, all the time.

Even with the seller level, Fiverr now compares sellers on sales volume. Sellers with high volume of sales, orders get constantly funneled to them. So in a way, they want us to be working as much as possible, to deliver more and more work in real time (like a factory worker).

I’ve completed over 800 orders, and my best-selling gig has 280+ 5-star reviews, but honestly, it feels like those reviews don’t hold the same value or attract the same attention they used to. That’s probably why my gig still isn’t ranked.

Now, I only get one or two orders a week, whereas before the new level system, I had a much more consistent flow of work. It feels like Fiverr is giving all the rights to the buyer, even when the issue is on their end.
