Hi Everyone,

Yesterday, a buyer contacted me to design a 3D product. They mentioned that they didn’t have a sketch, only product reference images, which I was fine with. The order was placed, and I started working on it.

However, after three hours, the buyer requested an order cancellation, stating that they wanted to make some changes to the design. They also messaged me asking if it’s okay to cancel.

I’m wondering if canceling the order will affect my gig score. Alternatively, should I suggest extending the delivery time? From my understanding, extending the time might also impact my gig score.

I’d appreciate any advice or guidance on handling this situation effectively.

Well cancellation is really gonna affect your metrics badly. But if they really want changes in the design, then why did not they send a request for a modification?

Well, you can request for extension delivery but looks like that your buyer is more interested in canceling the order instead of requesting a modification?

I think they were new to Fiverr, they message me about asking order cancelation is ok for me. however Fiverr fees will not refunded to them right? in that case mostly they will stay on the order.

Every single amount will be refunded to them. If they're new to Fiverr then you can guide them if they are struggling with anything. Try to discuss with them in a polite way and sort it out..

sure will do, I means the service fees will not refunded. otherwise this platform be like drop shopping.

Why are you worried about that? You should be worried about yourself too.

As a sellers we have to worry about both sides, not only the buyer also the platform.
