Question

Hello Fiverr Staff & Community!

Hope you all are doing well.

My success score was previously 8, but it started to drop after one of my orders was auto-marked as complete. Due to challenges with effective communication, it has now decreased to 5.

Since then, I have worked on improving my communication by studying my approach and making necessary adjustments. I have also completed 4 orders with 5-star reviews. However, my score still remains at 5.

Respected Fiverr staff and community members, my question is: when will my success score improve? Kindly guide me in this matter. I would be extremely grateful for your assistance.

Thank you!

Mirza Adnan

Currently, no one (not even Fiverr Staff members) gives you a clear answer with a method to increase your success score. No one knows.
The score is extremely difficult to increase. On the other hand, the score drops easily.
I can only advise you to get as many 5-star reviews as possible and maintain good communication with buyers. Getting four 5-star ratings is not enough to increase your score. How many you need and what else is needed to increase your score, no one knows.

As far as my experience and understanding go, if there’s room for growth in effective communication, auto-complete orders can negatively impact your success score because the system already considers it the seller’s fault. It assumes that due to the seller’s lack of communication, the buyer didn’t accept the order.

In this context, it’s always important to educate the buyer and politely ask them to accept the order. However, note that it’s not necessary to repeatedly tell them—just remind them once or twice politely. Additionally, inform them about the revision process as well, letting them know that if they’re not satisfied with the delivery, they can request a revision.

You must read the article Success score. I really help you understand the success score.

The only 2 factors of value in the Success Score documentation I found helpful (that weren't common sense):

  1. FIVERR suggests setting up auto response messages for your INBOX.  Not replying in a timely fashion negatively impacts your Success Score I guess - even if you're sleeping.
  2. FIVERR suggests the use of templates in all phases of communication.  I assume the algorithm looks for keywords in your communications with your clients/potential clients and judges you accordingly.

I have started using these "best practices" and while it feels incredible impersonal - hopefully this brings my Success Score back up.  #followTheAlgorithm

Hi Nickwilcox, thank you for your insightful answer. I have also studied effective communication in depth, including the initial draft, revision draft, and final delivery draft. I now follow these drafts, which I didn’t do before. Additionally, I’ve set up auto responses as well. You are absolutely right that communication in the inbox should be limited to what is necessary, avoiding unnecessary conversation. I hope we are moving towards improvement. Thank you so much!
